- London Heathrow Airport have recently introduced a £5 drop off/pick up fee at all terminals. Crazy! As I explain in the video, there is a way to get 30 minutes for free! It is very easy and quick and a lot better than paying £5! This works for every terminal.

You saved me £5. Thank you!
Brilliant thanks for the information 🙂
Thank you that's great x
They’re are crooks. I drove through twice by mistake and had to pay twice even though I didn’t drop. If I had Twitter I would express the unfairness as they refused to listen when I phoned
I can’t believe they charge for this, robbing bastards.
It's extortion to charge someone just to pick up and drop off. Yes it's a business but it's not an amusement park. Even Blackpool doesn't charge you until you get onto one of their rides
Thanks😁
Service was better organised than my prior airport parking service. Despite tight parking lot corners, the drop-off went well. Our airport transportation was fine.
After returning, I had several challenges. The shuttle bus's extended delay surprised me. The bus came packed of people being dropped off, leaving little place for our bags. Before returning to the ezybook parking park, the bus made an unnecessary detour to Terminal 5. Pricing was my biggest issue. Pickup went good.
I booked early to obtain a better discount, but I kept getting emails offering even lower costs for the same parking service. Calling to receive the lower pricing was unduly difficult. It almost seemed to discourage clients from requesting a price discrepancy refund.
If the passenger has 2 large suitcases and a smaller bag, and bus comes every 15mins and takes 10 minutes, then the time to go back it will be difficult to do in 30 mins, then in trying to save save £5 you will spend £9.
Though drop off is no hassle, yes £5 but no time limit. You are not supposed to leave your car but nobody is checking its all automated 2 cameras in and out. Just like a one night stand.
It is down to personal circumstances. Unless your moving or its for work I'm not sure why you would have 2 large suitcases and a smaller bag. If so this obviously wouldn't be practical. Most single passengers take only one suitcase and/or a smaller bag. It is all personal choice i am just simply giving an alternative. For me it is worth it
I WON MY APPEAL..........I recently dropped off my son at Heathrow airport T3 and a few days later I received a penalty notice indicating the £5.00 drop off charge was not paid within 24 hours. I either had to pay £40.00 right away or this would be doubled after two weeks. I decided to appeal and stated that I never knew there was a drop off charge as there never used to be one and that it was a very overcast and rainy day. A few days later, I received an email reply from them indicating my appeal was unsuccessful and went through all the reasons why, but further down the page, they quoted the following, 'On this occasion we are prepared to exercise our discretion and accept the £5.00 payment due as settlement of Parking Charge Notice'.
Hi, I am Leonard and just left London today. I want to know if I need to pay drop-off charge as I am now sure whether I drove to the drop-off zone or not. thanks.
Lllll99😅😅😅kù
do you know if the shuttle buses to terminal 2 long stay Car park is still free?
Good tip thanks. However, I know this saves a fiver, but realistically is it worth the extra hassle, time and hauling your luggage on and off the bus?
Given the large amount of money you have already spent on the trip it's insignificant really. Just don't buy a couple of extortionately priced coffees in the departure lounge and you save the same amount or more.
Personally, I used to travel often and so for me it was worth it (at other airports). I used to do it at Stansted all the time, which is now £7 to drop and pick up! Saving £14/ £10 every trip goes a long way in the end. I travel a lot less regularly now but I still choose to use it. I don't find it much hassle at all and I think it is better for the driver when picking up as they can arrive early and not need to worry about hanging around and getting charged even more, but that is my personal opinion and for others it may not be worth it as you say. It all depends on your situation
@@AutopilotAviation Yes absolutely right.
No one is against this robbing....that makes me more surprised.
For T2 and T3 just get dropped off at Bath Road, near the McDonald's and take a bus to the terminals, like X140 or 105
And how much for a bus ticket from there to terminal 2?
@@salam7376 yes I believe it is £1.65 using your Oyster card
@@aviationextreme great thanks
@@salam7376 when are you planning to travel?
@@aviationextreme this month
It’s definitely not true
I came there a while ago i went to the long stay car park by by mistake from the drop off
They charged me £80
I even paid for the long stay car park
I was only in the long stay car park for about 5 minutes but it charged me £6
This is robbery at the highest level and dangerous. I can see people walking on the road up to the terminal, as it's their right and not illegal according to the highway code. £5 today, tomorrow £50, following in the footsteps of tfl and congestion charging. If Heathrow wants to make money, put the £5 on the travellers..not charge people dropping off. Heathrow so wrong!!
Agreed 👍
Yes but nobody takes their life in their hands walking on the road at Heathrow. Well not for a fiver anyway.
your nice
Have you figured out if this is possible at Gatwick? Thanks
Hello, not yet but I shall add to the list and look into it. Hopefully make a video on it next week
@@AutopilotAviation Ooh I've found it out for South Terminal, also I'm going to Heathrow's T5 this Saturday, so I can tell you about my experience then :)
@@edsy174ornek Great! Thank you!
@@edsy174ornek hi, what you found out?
@@AutopilotAviation So for T5 Heathrow, buses arrive every 15mins and take you to the ‘arrivals’ part of the terminal and then you have to go to departures via lifts. For LGW, there is a part where buses go down and you can stay there for up to 2hrs.
T5 20 minutes free. 22nd. February 2023
But you spend 2 thirds of the time waiting or travelling on the bus. Pointless. Plus you've never even been there
Hello, I may not have done this, but I know people who have. I am just simply giving people an alternative to paying the drop off fee. It is your choice at the end of the day. Some don't mind waiting for a bus. I do this all the time at Stansted. For me the time is worth the money I save.
Don’t pay let them chase you don’t be sheep
It's hard to believe, but I had a similar experience recently. I accidentally ended up in the long stay car park instead of using the *Express Parking* area at the drop-off. They hit me with an £80 charge, even though I was only there for about 5 minutes. Express Parking sounds like a much better option!
hey.. did you have to pay for it or appealed?
Better still drive into the petrol station and drop someone there
Which petrol station?
The bus is not free the bus company has to pay so all the do is wen u buy ur ticket they just add it to ur ticket
Hello, the bus is free. Parking is free so long as you do not stay over 30 minutes
Actually it’s 2 hours free parking at Long Stay Car park.
It is 30 minutes free unless you have a disabled badge. Then you get 2 hours
Wrong it is 30 minutes. 2 hours for disabled, but your need to show badge.
