So no, it isn’t love telling someone how they are is a sin. There is science showing that your sexual orientation is not a choice. So it’s essentially like those homophobic telling a black person that being black is wrong and that they should be white. Not only is that hurtful, it isn’t something they can change about themselves. And if they get told that often enough, then that can lead to self hatred. When you hate yourself, a lot of the time you don’t want to live anymore. Because hating yourself is a horrible, horrible thing. If you don’t want to live anymore, sometimes people decide to make it so they aren’t alive anymore. This. This is the reason suicidal rates are so high for people in the sexual minority. The issue isn’t their sexual orientation. It’s society. Sorry, I got into a bit of a rant there. I’m passionate about this.

This is not perversion or a lack of religion. It is the folly of the people around said person and the folly of said person themselves.
