- I love historical decks and mostly tarot de Marseille decks produced by Jean Flonroy. You can buy his decks directly from his website www.tarot-history.com/ I highly recommend them because of the quality and historical credibility.
The movie "Tarology" with Enrique Enriquez can be found online. Here's the clip • Tarology: The Art of T...
Alejandro Jodorowsky's book The Way of Tarot can be found on Amazon etc. Here's a little clip • Video
Also a great resource CBD tarot www.cbdtarot.com/
I also wrote a blog with tarot de Marseille resources. The blog is in Polish but all the links will take you to English sites :) Take a look, it's easy to follow klbw.kylos.pl/tafalarota/resou...
For Polish speakers there's also a little extra to read here : klbw.kylos.pl/tafalarota/ewolu..., klbw.kylos.pl/tafalarota/jeste...
Thank you for watching! If you have any interesting books on tarot de Marseille or other resources online, please share!
yaaay marseille! love it. I love flornoy too... and jodorowsky too! it's so nice to hear people talking about marseille, especially in english, so thank you so much :)
+Sacred Seed I know! I so would love to see more decks Marseille inspired... and hear more about people's experiences with those decks... This is going to be published soon-ish! www.thegamecrafter.com/games/tarot-de-maria-celia-with-box-
+Kasia Tafalarota ive actually had my eye on that one... very excited for it! it's beautiful. thanks love xo
Thank you so much for this amazing video. I recently discovered the Tarot de Marseille, and you have answered a lot of my questions about the various types of decks within this tradition. I look forward to more!
Great to hear Karen! Thank you for your feedback x
Thank you so much for an informative, up beat fun way to a somewhat heavy Marseille subject
That was terrific. I'm suddenly obsessed with Marseilles decks and have spent many hours in the last day looking at all the different decks. This was a really helpful comparison and you are so funny like when you are talking about the World cards. Thanks so much!
Ooh loved what you showed about the differences in the Tower!!!’ ❤️💚❤️
I love your explanation of the tower card! Thank you for the insight :)
Thank you. And.....that was an excellent movie. I grew a lot as a reader just by watching. I can only anticipate how I will grow as I integrate what I saw.
I'm becoming more and more interested in TdM. Your video was great. Thanks so much.
Enjoy!
I forgot... Since you have the Noblet, there is a wonderful book called "Reading the Marseille Tarot" by Jean-Michel David. It goes through the Noblet card by card.
Yes! I have bought this book in pdf form. Haven't gone through it yet but looked through it and it seems to be amazing xx
I LOOOOVEEEE your descriptions of the cards lol! the queen of wands .. "maybe her wand is too big" hahahah!! I have the way of tarot by Jodorowsky and I really enjoyed what ive read so far. I never thought I would be drawn to reading Marseille style but the last few months it has really been drawing me in! I cant wait to watch Tarology!! Thank you beautiful, as always I love to hear your thoughts
+Wild Moon Tarot you will soooo love Tarology! Im going to write you on FB!
Thank you very much. Very informative with the comparisons between the decks.
You are welcome Judy! xx
Hello everyone just a little reminder the Conver version TDM Jodorowsky is also created conjonctly with Philippe Camoin. Both have work in collaboration in a long and complex reconstruction of this conver TDM. Philippe Camoin is a last descendant of Conver-Camoin family Maître Cartier Marseillais. This version is the Jodorowsky & Camoin TDM. Thanks
Marie Fgbr thank you for saying! I keep shortening the name but of course keeping in mind that it is the collaboration of these two people
This is great Kasia! I have a yearning to learn more about these cards and follow their history! Thank you for introducing us to the different decks. I love them!
Enjoy studying them. xx
I love your videos! Thanks so much - and for introducing me to Flonroy and the Enriquez film. Priceless!! xoxo
Glad you like them! My heroes :)
Hola, Kaisa! Allen, here. I read The Way of the Tarot decades ago, loved the classic, learned a bit of the "systems" (geometric paradigms, Christian symbolism, etc) and am now returning to study deeper directly do to my interest in Taking Tarot: Ink & Intuition, last month/year. I'm looking to buy a Spanish Tarot off eBay from MindfulTarot Lisa's (and your!) recommendations (I like the TdM Fournier a lot, too). Ive seen the beginning of Tarology, love it and his novel Tarot concepts, so ... Im in! Thx Kaisa ♑🤗🔮
So wonderful. Thank you very much! I'm looking forward to watching the next videos in the series!
Thank you Jamie :) I hope to do more videos in the future.
I watched the Enrique Enriquez film and just ordered the Dodal deck. Thank you for helping me get into Marseilles.
I love you for dis lovely information
Thanks for sharing your thoughts here. It's nice to see someone using the Tarot of Marseille besides myself. I'm the only reader I know here in my area Chicago area, USA who uses this deck. I tell people it is the most authentic Tarot deck in circulation today. Love the deck! Nice talk here you did on the cards too!
Vincent Pitisci oh wow Vincent! Thank you for checking it out! Yes, Marseille is so amazing! I'm honoured to see your comment.
This is an excellent introduction! I have never been so excited about the Marseille as I am after watching your video. I look forward to the next video in the series. Thank you for sharing and much love!
+Authentically Chad thank you. Glad to hear! I actually have just posted the second one :) It's in the Playlist Tarot de Marseille. Amazing decks, aren't they? :)
Thank you SO SO SO much for this video! I love Marseilles, as a Marseilles deck was gifted to me from a dear friend and that is what started my tarot journey in earnest. But, it id not have any paperwork telling me which deck it was. And so, your deck helped me identify my deck as a copy of the Conver 1760 deck- right there on the 2 of coins, like you said! Thank you! I can't wait to watch the rest of your videos!
Thank you for watching and commenting! It inspires me :)
@ 1:46 you mention an artist - Jacques V. whose images are of Piedmontese tradition. What is his last name?
Sounds like the Vandenborre Bacchus deck with your description of star card.
J. Vieville - a beautiful deck as well!
Wonderful video thank you! When you were showing the death card it looked to me like the older one where death faces left is like we are moving toward him and he is waiting...whereas the later productions where he faces right are like death is chasing us. Just thought I would share what popped into my mind as you shared those cards. Again, thank you for the lovely video. Love the information!
Topaz Dawn thank you for writing! I agree! Great insights! Sending a big Xmas hug :) x
Kasia, Twoje Marseilles videos sa wspaniale! Dzieki!
Dziękuję!!! Bardzo mi miło xx
This was great thank you
"Take a look at the Queen of Wands... with her little nipples" - uśmiałam się zdrowo jak ją pokazałaś!
I have a special 2018 gold background deck coming in October. Thanks for you video....Marseille is not so common in America. :>
I love this series you did...I am going to watch them all again...I also got a cheap “JJ Swiss copy” deck for like 8 bucks...still not the final TDM for me. Still waiting for your opinions of the sacred geometry tdm...
:>
Hi Kasia,
You mentioned that learning the Marseille Tarot System was a game changer for you. I wonder if you have any videos in your particular experience on learning to read with this cards.
Yes, a whole playlist on YT and a paid class on my website x
TY for your video.I ordered the Dodal yesterday. I am more and more leaving the RWS, I am just bored with it for the moment. And (re)discovering the TdM deck. I am working with the Jodorowsky right now with The way of Tarot. oh, and Tarology is fab
Cool! Dodal is my fave fave fave !
Jakie to pasjonujące!!! Kasia uwielbiam Cię! Chyba zażyczę sobie Dodala na urodziny, a co!!! ;-)
+Marta Tarotowe Spotkania nie będziesz rozczarowana kochana! x
Thank you very much for your Tarot of Marseille series. I want to ask you something... I'm not professional reader, I'm reading for myself and my daughter only. I have got few tarot decks which are based on Rider Waite tarot, all major and minor arcanas with pictures. I bought yesterday my two (first) Marseille tarot based decks ( 'Universal tarot of Marseille' and 'The classic tarot', both from Lo Scarabeo). So I want to ask you can I those Marseille tarot based decks read on same way as Rider Waite based decks (for example: three of swards in Marseille tarot has got the same meaning as three of swards in Rider Waite tarot, and so on for each card)? Should I get true and correct messages if I'll read Marseille tarot cards on that way? Sorry for my bad English, it's not my domestic language so it's hard for me to write everything correctly. 😊
What is the meaning of the presentation card? Does it have a specific meaning or does it just signify the author/artist?
the latter
Marsyl to moja pierwsza talia. Tak, ta magiczna podarowana ;) Nie pamiętam jej na tyle dobrze, aby dokładnie określić wersję. W moim przypadku nie zagrało. Używałam tylko AW, bo reszty nie rozumiałam. Moim zdaniem do Marsyla trzeba dorosnąć. Dopiero teraz zaczynam odkrywać ten surowy urok.
Podoba mi się sposób, w jaki skonstruowałaś film. Porównanie różnych wersji talii, trochę historii i linki do źródeł. Dzięki Tobie poszerzę swoją wiedzę. Dzięki!
+margotka1980 no...mi też się kiedyś nie podobał :)
Hi there. You mentioned Tarology: The Art of Tarot (Documentary). Where can I find it?
The page I watched it in doesn’t exist anymore. You have to search. I don’t know anymore
