I love the detail in every short where it shows one word that resonates with each character. For Sans it’s “Remember?” which is referring to the promise that he made for you. For Papyrus it’s “Why?” because you murdered him when he was just trying to spare you. For Undyne it says “You.” as in because you’re the one who killed Papyrus and everyone and then her. For Monster Kid it says “Suffer.” because you killed Undyne, his hero. For Muffet it says “Trapped.” because not only are you trapped in the undertale purgatory box with her for all eternity but that’s also what she said before you killed her. For Napstablook it says “nightmare” because for his battle it’s as if you’re having a nightmare.
I think it's a message. "Remember why you suffer. You are trapped in a nightmare." Because for muffet and napstablook, it's not one word. It's a three word sentence.
I love the fact Monster Kids attacks and armor design is all inspired off Undyne. Really fits well with the fact that Undyne is the biggest idol for Monster kid in the game.
I'll be real, Monster Kid is like the one Purgatory character that doesn't seem to be suffering or broken, if anything he's actually stronger, he BROKE THE BOX, sliced clean through it, theoretically he could be the one thing that could end the torment, yes it could take forever to actually get a hit, but it's possible

Theory: Purgatale is an AU reality where the user has done so many geno-resets to the point some otherly powerful entity sent them here where they are merely just the soul without the character, like how Kris separates their soul with their body. The character heals and regenerates their own soul which gives them back their free will while us players are forced to witness the horrors of this purgatory where we can't do anything but see every nightmare fueled versions of the victims we slaughtered to try and kill us. The only thing stopping them is this indestructible box which also serves as our prison.
Sans enjoyed teasing your death. Papyrus didnt want to torture you. Undyne wanted to kill you with every bone in her body. Monster kid played around, yet seemed to genuinely want to put you out of your misery

Honestly I love enemies that spend more time powering up than trying to hit you. Throws a wrench in the "attack heal" cycle you usually get going if done well.
Wonder if there's been any react to enemy attack rpgs where an enemy or boss uses long attack animations with weird or sudden actual hitboxes to juke unprepared or not paying attention players, or just having an unfair but learnable attack once the player adapts to the weird and/or sudden timing.

In routes where you do genocide but don't kill Undyne/Mettaton NEO, they will take over the underground and search for Alphys, but never finding her. My thoughts are she got extremely depressed because of us killing more than 60% of the entire monster population and killing Mettaton, her best friend or Undyne, her love interest and decided to take her own life
In Pokemon they always ask "Why ever use status debuff moves? Just spam damage!" But then they complain when they can't land anything for the rest of the fight!
I mean, what matters most is how good the pokemon is, in normal gameplay, you just need a strong pokemon with good stats (especially attack and speed so that you can kill the enemy before it kills you) and good moveset (through sand attack is pretty useful ngl), so like, pkmn games are pretty easy so you dont really have to do much. And if you appreciate your free time, youll just spam offensive attacks
All the other purgatory videos were just characters trying to kill you but ultimately are unable to. But this one is more like an actual effort to bring you down. And I loved it. I also liked the armor.
