It was so lovely to spend time in the church and listen to the music. And also to explore the pastoral surroundings in the churchyard. And the video captures it all perfectly!
Thank you Jean 🙂. We had to be careful not not be talking to loudly but it was really nice to hear him playing, It was a really nice church to visit and your Idea Jean, Thank you.
Very generous of Roger to allow you to record while he was rehearsing. I suppose people don't generally ask, especially if someone is playing, because they don't want to disturb them. Mind you, you got yourself a great soundtrack! Beautiful interior reflecting different centuries, which just shows that churches are living entities that take on the patina of every period of their existence. Thanks, Kevin and the Gang!
Thank you Andrew 🙂. Yes I was very lucky to get that sound track whilst Roger was playing and from someone quite famous. The church was amazing as most churches are with the history that they hold within their walls. We as a country are so lucky to have them.
Hi Kevin Cynthia Steve and Jean what a beautiful church and looks like it is all original beautiful inside and yet a different kind of font . Love the way the organ pipes where displayed really lovely video Kevin thankyou enjoyed that see you on the next video x ❤
Thank you, Fiona 😊. We are so lucky to have these wonderful old churches to go and look round. There is so much history inside and outside in the cemeteries,
Ey up me duck. Tis always nice when you can get inside these old churches to take in the full beauty of them. Having an organist playing is definitely the cherry on the cake. I actually follow a church organist on CZcams *Anna Lapwood. Ay a good'un me owd 🙂👍
Really interesting video - and you were so lucky to get the organist! I'm doing a video(s) on the Manhood Peninsula & I'd like to post a link to this if you're ok with that?
Thank you, Sue 😊 . Yes, we were very lucky to be able to record the organist. Sue, join my Facebook group, Kevin's Rambles. You can post your link there. You are very welcome to share my videos.
I returned to a Church last week and an Organist was in there praticing and I didn't ask permission! To be fair though I don't think he knew I was there and I didn't want to disturb him.
Thank you Marq 🙂. I think sometimes we have to be a bit careful and respectful of what others are doing. But as you say people dont even realise you are there sometimes.
