It's a bit strange Thomas. The main benefit of the facelift is the clear upgrade of the interior materials. That had been the biggest complaint by the customers so far because the complete interior consisted of hard plastic surfaces before. Now that has been fixed and the entire dashboard, including the part beneath the trim and some parts of the doors have finally soft touch materials. Yet you don't mention it at all but only knock on the remaining hard pack on the upper part of the door.

Personally wish we had something better than just Beats Audio in this, the Fender was by a distance better and would be a great option for those who want a little car but still want premium touches.
First, Thomas Blue, now Thomas Trousers Grey ! In the UK we call this "primer grey" because it looks like the grey primer paint that is used in many applications
Definitely the better way to spend the money since in many markets you get less spec if you go T-Roc and you get a real 4 pot in the Polo GTI for that money.
Can’t help feeling that cost savings are a huge thing for vw now. Cheaping out on interior plastics, dated laggy in car tech and how awful was that famed vw door closing sound. Such a shame to see the cost of new cars skyrocket over the past 10 years and build quality getting worse in some cases. And yes… stop with these useless capacitive buttons, they are terrible
The piano black plastics are the worst because you know why they add it to cars. No matter how careful you are, it will get scratched up af very quickly.
Prefer previous version on the outside,inside alittle better but to be honest i don’t notice the hard plastic on mine as I rarely touch it! Not keen on the stick out screen on dash
I'm taken aback by the interior. Not in a good way. Little effort in styling and capacitive buttons and high gloss plastic. What were they thinking....
Great review as always . Way way to expensive for what it is. What about hybrid power train in age of high petrol prices and force low CO2 emissions ??? Come on Vw. Not everyone can afford ev car. All this is smelling like old technology for a lot of money.And 4Motion in Vw T roc. What’s this all about??? 😱😱
4 fake exhausts,when will the EU outlaw this ridiculous practice! At least give the buyer the option of inserting blank covers if they desire.2 is bad enough ,but 4 -its not a V8 even !
Good to see that Volkswagen have really moved up the game in fake exhausts. Twin fakes on each side to pretend that car is a 'R' and not a R Line. Who are they kidding?
Mmm, so they haven't fixed the plasticky cheap interior ! Also the fake exhausts and over designed rear bumper with those black triangles. No wonder why people prefer Seat Ateca or Cupra instead. Not good VW , not good at all.
Genau aus dem Grund, aus dem Volkswagen ein deutscher Name ist und mehr Autos im Ausland verkauft. Oder BMW. Oder Audi. Oder… man agiert eben international. Darüber hinaus planen wir aber gerade einen Service für deutsche Zuschauer.
@@autogefuehl nunja, das ist ja aber doch kein Argument. Wenn ich nach Videos zum T-Roc suche, dann erkenne ich da an 99 von 100 Videotiteln und Kanalnamen aber sehr wohl, in welcher Sprache das Video gedreht ist
Natürlich ist es ein Argument, denn viele deutsche Marken sind international aktiv. Wenn ich noch ein deutsches Angebot starte, dann kann ich Deutsch in den Namen mit aufnehmen und/Oder es noch mit einer Flagge kennzeichnen. Ich habe mich vor zehn Jahren eben bewusst für einen deutschen Markennamen entschieden, der international für deutsche Seriosität steht. Und das hat auch hervorragend funktioniert

Es ist halt nur verwirrend, wenn man auf ein offensichtlich deutsches Video klickt und darin nicht deutsch gesprochen wird. Ich frage ist, ob da nun so eine schlaue Idee ist oder ob ein englischer Titel da nicht für weniger Verwirrung und dafür aber mehr Clicks sorgen könnte. Das musst du selbst wissen - du hast dir ja schließlich was dabei gedacht. Die Videos selbst sind jedenfalls sehr gut und am Ende setzt sich Qualität immer durch! Ich wünsche weiterhin Erfolg und mach weiter so (vielleicht ja doch irgendwann als „car vibes“ oder so) 😀

European cars are so old fashioned. Legacy car companies are dinosaurs lacking imagination just rehashing the same old with a few me too gizmo's I like the T-Roc but seeing what's coming out of China and the prices they are selling fo,r VAG are in serious trouble.

It is way too late for this upgrade of materials, the model now looks old so it is irrelevant if they finally updated the materials...

Are you living under a stone? Even my mk7 gti clubsport has dual injection to combat this. My car is 5 years now and doesnt have any carbon buildup.
