- Phoenix Mercury head coach Nate Tibbetts discussed the team's loss to the Indiana Fever on Sunday. Phoenix now falls to 9-9 on the season.

Once Clark arrived in the WNBA, teams no longer have home court advantage with the fans because crowds are all cheering for Clark where ever she plays.
Yeah home field advantage means nothing when you're playing against CC because she has the home team crowd rooting for her. So home court kinda doesn't come into play

He is the best coach in an interview I have seen in the WNBA. No snarkiness or badmouthing of the other team or the refs. Praising the Fever and saying that they played a good game. It is so refreshing to hear from a professional.

I am really impressed with Nate Tibbetts. This is the way really good coaches speak in an interview, win or lose. Calm, collected, no throwing players under the bus. If someone like him was in Indiana, they would have more wins and be a more confident and relaxed team.

*Caitlin Clark team seems to always have home court advantage anywhere they play!* I attended this game as well as the Washington game with 20,333 in attendance. It’s wild when the home crowd routes for both teams. *Don’t take my word, look at attendance for games when the Fever aren’t playing.*

Fever Coach Sides could learn a few things from Nate Tibbetts. When asked about the last play that they lost possession (by what looked like a kicked ball), he said the execution fail was on him, he didn’t throw ANY of this players under the bus. That what good coaches do. They work on fixing what went wrong, instead of looking for someone to blame.
It just shows how fans have longed to see someone like CC in the WNBA.

I know it will never happen but, would it kill these coaches (that are experiencing the Caitlin sell out effect for the first time) to just mention her name and impact when discussing the big crowds and playoff environment? The Fever outlasted the Mercury. Fatigue sets in when you play a running team. I believe that's why it seemed the Mercury were missing so many easy shots. All in all, it was a fun game to watch.

Did he say his defens was good?, Clark nearly had a triple double, n the Fever had five players in double figures, not only was it not good is at best was disastrous. Boston, Fagbenle, Smith, n Mitchell together incinerated your defense n Clark alone damn near nuked it all game long. Whatever defense plan you had for this game NEVER DO IT AGAIN...

Kinda took your own team out of your comfort zone by focusing toooo much on Caitlin. Allowed her teammates to get wide open shots. On one of the fast breaks three people went to CC amd let their wing walk to the hoop. And Cloud guarding the Fever center? Definitely tried to do too much.
The Mercury need to rebuild with younger players now. Change has come to the WNBA.
