  • If this was a first play video, there would have been several minutes silence at the start whilst working out how to make head or tail... That is not to detract from the pedal, it's fab!
    It took a while to get my head around it, it's a bit glitchy and has artefacts (as alluded to in the manual by EHX) which you notice when listening in isolation....
    The Attack Decay seems to come into it's own when blended with other sounds such as loopers or something that will provide an ambient pad, hence using the Superego plus here... Also, Delays and Reverbs help (DD7 used here)...
    Then the main problem would appear to be - it's addictive and once you get going you don't really want to stop!
    The audio/video quality are a bit choppy, but WYSIWYG, if time can be found will try to make a clearer visual and aural experience for the discerning viewer/listener...
    Thanks for watching :)
    Matt.

    Lovely demo of an amazing pedal. I bought one recently, it is absolutely mad. Just beginning to scratch the surface of what it can do. I bought a Walrus Slo at the same time, the two together are sublime.

      I'm going to really get into your channel. I'm putting a board together, about 10 pedals that include Superego Plus, Micro Pog, Bass 9. So I'll give you an update on my progress in about a month. Lol, not a pedal you learn in a day or two!

    This is cool..I just got one, and I'm thinking expression pedal, with a Sub Fuzz. Since it's buffered, It will have to go after all the fuzz pedals I have. Thanks!

    • @pedalscapes
      @pedalscapes  Před 5 lety +1

      Thanks for watching Robert, first 20 seconds or so of this vid are bypassed as I set up the pad, I think it sounds fairly neutral and am planning to put it on my board.

      Forget about The Greatful Deads "Jams", there's only 1 jam band I've ever heard that was actually worth listening too, and that is Ozric Tentacles, they've put out dozens of albums over the last 40 years and still haven't gotten hardly any mainstream recognition. Despite the fact that they run so many circles around the Greatful Dead that Jerry Garcia isn't even qualified to tune Ed Wynne's guitar!

    can this be used to get a violin like effect on fast phrases? I want a paganini speed violin sound on the guitar with fast tracking and quick volume swells for full violin songs thanks

    • @pedalscapes
      @pedalscapes  Před 4 lety +2

      Wow that project sounds amazing, would love to hear that... Short answer, I'm not sure... Slightly longer answer you can get violin type effects but as the attack time is being reduced I think it may be a bit tricky to get it up to Paganini speed, I have a few other pedals that allow you to alter the attack, this is the best of them and also offers a polyphonic mode... I would recommend perhaps trying before you buy... Or try it and return it if it doesn't to what you need... That said it is a super useful and versatile pedal. Hope that helps, cheers :)

      If you strike a chord will it recognize it like the Mel9 and C9 and hold it together as a whole or is it the opposite and trying to recognize them separately purposely. I'm trying to use it with a pedal that grabs a sample and I want it to play the Chord not just the first or last note I hit. Help me please Mr. Free.

    • @MrFree-vj8qj
      @MrFree-vj8qj Před 4 lety +1

      @@TheNewYearsEve you are looking for the FREEZE pedal I think

    • @pedalscapes
      @pedalscapes  Před 4 lety

      @@TheNewYearsEve This pedal can cut off the attack of the chord so that it swells in and also reduce the decay if you wish, it won't provide infinite sustain as Mr. Free says you'll need a freeze type pedal for that, like the superego... Hope that helps...

    I'd love this but without the fuzz! I have OCD ha and I already own a fuzz I love. Do you think the auto toggle on the superego has a similar sound? I love this m.czcams.com/video/MjI5tl3b5eg/video.html#
