My cat has been squatting down and walking close to the floor while making cooing noises. I think she's in heat, but I don't know how to relieve her discomfort. I think she is feverish her head and ears are unusually warm. I wiped her down with a cold wet paper towel, I think that helped a little.
I've had cats that would go into hiding when they were ill. I had another cat with HCM who woke us up during the night when he was having difficulty breathing.
My usually food obsessed cat had vomiting and refused to eat or drink. Initially the vomitus was clear so i thought it was just hairballs..but by the second day he had bilious vomiting so I suspected intestinal obstruction. Brought him to a vet hospital...he had surgery and they removed a mesh of fabric that he ingested. 😅. He is recuperating well now at home.
