  • A rather involved install. Had to cut the grills Rennline claimed were the correct fit for the car. They were not. However thrilled with the final fit and they look factory.

      @@bobbygfl In your opinion, what was the best mod you made to your 911. I know that's like asking what your favorite song or band is but since you've done most all of the great mods, it would nice to hear it directly from a real-life consumer standpoint

      @@Foxtrot1967 I have been planning a 50 things to do to your 911 video. I really need to do that video. I have all 50 things written out I just need to shoot a video. Anyway I think of all the things that I’ve done, my favorite has to do the exhaust because I love the way the car sounds. The other mod is the auto top thing. “Smart top” I love that thing and use it all the time. Thanks for the comment.

    Just wondering what year and model of 911 you are working on. Different from my 991.1. Pretty bad that you have to cut grills that are supposed to be a perfect fit, especially at what they charge for them.

    • @bobbygfl
      @bobbygfl  Před 3 lety +2

      It’s a 2013 C4s cab. They offered a few different front bumpers for the car. And yes, they came out great and have held up perfectly but the fit was joke out of the box. Worse part is they told me I was wrong. Thanks for the comment.

    Do you know how to reprogramme the front headlights?
    After I returned the bumper and head lights, I get yellow text messages " headlight adjustment defective) or something like that.

      Omar Malaika I have never had an error code from removing the headlights. But I did get and error message like you are describing on one of the blinkers. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and the warning went away. Try that.

    Mine turned out the same way. Looked great, but I'd love to see how you got the bumper went back on. I found that the new screens interfered with the air dams and the ability to reattached the bumper. Anyone else?

    • @bobbygfl
      @bobbygfl  Před rokem

      Yes, I had the same problem if I remember correctly, some of the sleeves did not want to slide in around the screen. Check out my playlist probably the radiator video. Think I might have some footage on putting the bumper on and off.

    I received my box of rennline grills and have been procrastinating due to the last step of putting bumper back on with sandwiching the grill. That must have been tricky!

    • @bobbygfl

      I’m with you I don’t know how Rennline says it’s the right part. Not only that, but for $325 I didn’t expect to do anything outside of what it already takes to get to the installation point.
      Nice work!

    I found some nice gloss black screens at Lowes, which I'll just template and cut (essentially like Rennline has made you do). I agree with you - someone probably packed the wrong item and in turn gave you a little extra *&!#! "homework".

    That's pretty jacked you had to trim that so much. You could've just bought some aluminum mesh, painted it black and, cut it yourself. ugh

    • @bobbygfl
      @bobbygfl  Před 4 lety +2

      Toby Grantham yes you’re totally right. Believe me I was pissed. And they still maintain that they fit perfectly right out of the box. The only silver lining is they are powder coated which is more durable than paint. They do fit like a glove now that I cut and shaped them so I’m very happy with the end result but paying full price for something that I had to do so much work to is a sore spot LOL. Thanks for the comment.
