National media keep talking about how much we will miss Queen, I believe Simpson will have a better season
Without a doubt he will, his speed is wild
I’m not gonna jump to say that. He’s still young & could develop to being better than PQ but let’s not jump to put him above PQ who played like a fringe pro bowler at times last year & was the 2nd linebacker in the best LB duo in the league for us last year.

Said it when we drafted him. He's the same type of player as Queen but he's faster and more physical. He definitely covers backs better out of the backfield. Most of mainstream media never smelled a football field. They really don't have a clue about the intangibles and the game within the game.

From what it seems - Trenton Simpson will have such an advantage over what PQ had starting as a rookie (granted, this is his 2nd year). Roquan will sort 'Simp" into a good progression towards refining his roles and responsibilities.
I remember that PQ had Malik Harrison as the other inside linebacker, along with Rob Ryan as the linebackers coach. Yikes.
Hope you like it. Definitely a lot of versatility, and better coverage skills, in his second year. The umbrella of options that the Ravens have with Simpson on the field is wider, so I think that will be point number one.
Simpson in the last 2 weeks last year looked electric
Trenton was a Swiss Army Knife when he was at Clemson.
He played a bunch of positions for them and he was very instinctive.
He’s big, fast and smart… I see him being as versatile as Kyle Hamilton.

I thought his awareness in that zone coverage was very impressive. It also showed his discipline as well. I have learned a lot about coverages and ILB play from watching your videos.

Agree. Those guys are incredibly athletic to be able to stay up or redirect and get to the football.
Queen was really important in coverage and I feel at times was one of the only match up teams liked because you could periodically win.. and queen was damn good. I’m worried the defense becoming one dimensional because we don’t want Simpson getting burned. It’s so hard to evaluate preseason when it comes to scheme because what we’re running is so water down. He can definitely play, coverage is the bigger issue. I get “safety” but it’s so hard to build a team and evaluate with the lack of time these guys get
