She’s suing for mental torture she claims she’s endured. The defendants allege that the plaintiff is in fact the harasser, and that they are owed money. I believed her too until I saw that smirk she had when they said how she harrassed them back. They were both going after each other, it seems. I think the judge saw that and that's why she didn't award anyone anything.

Agreed! It has definitely been my unpleasant experience in rental properties that the higher the apartment - the less inclined humans seem to be when it comes to walking their dogs the extent they NEED to be walked.
One accountant I lived below was gone - all the time either partying or working - and left potty pads inside for all 3 of her dogs - disgusting living situation.
Another lady - 82 years old whose husband of 60 years passed away. She got a chihuahua to keep her company in her 3rd floor apartment. Only she was too old and frail to get the dog downstairs to potty. No one in the brand new apartment complex I live in - even picks up their dog poop when they DO take their small dogs for walks on the property. Or uses the dog park on our grounds. They step right outside their door and urge their dogs to HURRY UP. I cringe MOST OF THE TIME when I see pet owners / animal hoarders.
My last neighbor- a woman who got rid of her poor dog because she didn't like coming home to its messes. Damn people if your life choices don't accommodate a PET then DON'T GET ONE!! or rent a HOUSE WITH A YARD!!

it’s so funny i’m glad she did this because you know why, when this happened the police was looking for her daughter who was hiding in her apt . she beat up a pregnant girl real bad and the girl thought she was going to get away with it but all the drama she caused to us caught up to them and the police said they would’ve never found her if this didn’t happen. god sure does work in mysterious ways…and they had to leave because she was lying about everything and the fact we showed the video of her friends dog using the bathroom on her own patio….. but they didn’t show that part sis!

When landlords accept pets in a rental unit, they can't tell the tenants to get rid of the pets if an issue arises, as it's illegal to do so.

The fact that she wasn’t believed about poop and urine dripping down onto her patio drove me crazy! That’s more than possible to happen through a slatted balcony and I believe her that it did. Pets are wonderful, we are soooo lucky as selfish ppl to get the luxury of having a dog or cat but to be so lazy by allowing your pet to defecate on the patio is flat out wrong! It’s one thing if it’s concrete and no ability to leak down to the balconies below but really ppl that own dogs should be legally required to walk their fur babies! It’s healthier, our dogs deserve to be walked and cared for better and this poor woman and her granddaughter didn’t deserve to be treated in that way! Besides the fact, these two dudes clearly live a very stressful, drama filled life previous to her coming in contact with them. Our past behaviors often are a reliable preview of what to expect from each other and these two clearly live for drama and I think they have some nerve to not respect boundaries!
So true dear..the judge should have at least lectured the mean boys. You see, this is how bullies grow bolder, and do not respect women. The poor woman was recovering from a surgery and had to have her daughter caring for her. And to have to face these bullies in the midst of this..to have to go repeatedly to complain...is sad. May there be divine justice in God's highest court...against the bullies.

She came in to her Grandmother because she thought she had been rained on. Doug didn’t come up with this on his own. The two lousy pet owners upstairs should have had to replace whatever the child was wearing, as well as the other damage their lazy selves caused!! MMB

I've seen women threaten and attack men several times, it's happened to me. I've also witnessed women saying they do stuff like that knowing that they can get away with it because the men will be afraid to hit them. On the rare occasion that a man stands up for himself they're instantly shocked because they thought there was no way the man would strike.

we were on the news twice yes and that’s how she recognized us everyone across the nation saw us because the stories got traction and was aired at different news stations i had friends calling me from different states saying we were in the media. and from those incidents we were hurt and was hospitalized someone stole our car and the very next month our car was shot into over 7 times !! so put two and two together and that’s why she wanted money out of us
further, her daughter was one of the main ppl who at the time had a warrant for her arrest for beating a girl up who was pregnant at the time and that was another reason why we ended up staying in the apt and they had to leave ….they stalked and harassed us. they didn’t even show the video we had of her friends dog on her patio using the patio as the bathroom. its tv they def couldn’t fit everything into one segment because the case was longer than the actually episode….but in the end we ended up staying in the apartment and she was forced to move so that says a lot in itself

Hold up; the defendants were robbed at motel 6, then the victims of a car ramming, and now sued... There's something very wrong with them to attract so much chaos! Toxic demonic energy for sure. They were probably the bad "luck" that contributed to the freak accident of the pressure washer guy dying in their complex. She needed to move and get away from them.
$10k is too much to ask for, but clearly she wasn't making it up putting dog poop on her own deck; if she had a dog too ,then that would've been their 1st defense, so it sucks that their management was so passive, which only empowers people to be bad neighbors.
She deserved some compensation to right the wrong they did; they want people to handle things the "right" way, but this is the type of injustice that encourages people to seek street justice. The pressure washer guy did die because of them, he just did another apartment since he was there, but that's where he died, not at their place. My mom was dealing with this for a few months and the people above her end up giving the dog away. We were sitting out there one day and the dog was out on that small deck and started peeing. She was pissed. The dog would literally be out almost ALL day pacing back and forth. the gf end up telling my mom it was her bf’s dog and he never walked him! Poor pit 😔

I'd sit out there, have a water hose ready, put it in "jet stream" and the dog would get a surprise every time he tried to piss on my head. It would at least train the dog that it's unpleasant to pee outside and maybe start peeing indoors.

I’ve managed complexes for years. I put on our complaint forms that if a complaint is made, the neighbors are not to have any contact with each other at that point.

I believe their complex should have done more. I had this happen to me when I lived on the bottom floor of an apartment and our upstairs neighbor had a goat. They constantly kept it on the balcony and it would poop and pee all over their balcony which dropped poop and pee on us and our balcony. We notified our apartment asap and they had 24 hours to get rid of it because it was a goat. A goat was deemed an animal that could not have in an apartment but still I feel as if their apartment complex should have done more

I hate to say this but i had the same type of balcony. I had a dog and i will admit it was so cold outside i just sent him outside on the balcony. He did pee and poop and the downstairs neighbors called and complained on me. I know i was wrong but it was like -28 below degrees in the suburbs of Chicago. Once I was made aware that the neighbors complained, it never happened again. I believe these two dudes were messy and they did let their dog out.

Baffles me how people can't problem-solve! I lived with my 15 pound dog (Lhasa Apso) for 17 years in my own home. Because I worked during the day, I puppy trained right away for her to go on a Rubbermaid tub lid with a rubber door mat (type with spaces between the rubber) placed in the lid with a rim. Very simple... dog didn't have to hold it until I came home and it was easy to clean. Pick up solids with toilet paper and flush (she did wait to do #2 until I got home) and pee during the day fell through the rubber mat and held in the lid under the mat. That all got lifted to tip along inside of bathtub to rinse with very hot water, spray safe disinfectant on it, then rinse again to drip dry and place back on an old towel outside the bathroom in the hallway. The disinfectant cleans the tray and the bathtub.

Yeah, there really is just no excuse for what they did. They even sell little fake patches of grass that can be cleaned/reused, so that dogs can relieve themselves indoors in a designated area if their owner is away most of the day.

Seee this is why apartment land lord's typically do not allow tenants to have pets bcus people choose not to properly tend to their animals. I love animals but I totally get it. Being a pet owner myself it's a lot of work. I use to have a small dog but gave him to a family that could properly take care of him. Dogs need walks, attention and play time...I now own 3 cats but they don't need walks and attention all day long. Feed em, clean their kitty litter and theyre good...lol!

Defendants are definitely wrong and I believe everything the plaintiff says but they probably did have altercations. And it probably came from the daughters who aren’t there ( which I understand, if they cursed their mother out).
I would’ve spoken to my neighbors first before going to management, it probably wasn’t intentional at the beginning, maybe it could’ve been resolved that way .. but once you start intentionally messing with me , my family and my home , I would get angry and I would talk my shit .
