The Insta360 GO 3s is a great device, a really tiny and super powerful and flexible everyday carry camera that I don’t leave home without. And although it has great features like voice and gesture control, what if your hands are full riding a mountain bike in noisy surroundings, or you forget to hit record every time something happens. Well, that’s when interval recording helps on the Insta360 GO 3S. Because maybe you’re going to be doing something for a few hours, or throughout your day - and rather than having to think about getting your phone out, or picking up your Go 3S to click record, and you don’t want to go through all the footage to find some fun pulled together segments of video to share with your family or on social media. Here’s how interval recording works on the GO 3S with my best tips for making the ost out of it.

I sold my Go 3, partly because it didn't have this video interval settings that I heard about in your early videos about it.
I not sure I would still work with Insta360 since my experience was pretty bad at the time but I definitely like to keep up with what is happening on the market and your channel is a gold mine in it's field 🙏

Hi Sarb, been enjoying your videos since the original go! I also enjoyed the interval recording function on the original go. I jad the go2 but no interval there so it's pretty awesome that it's back.
Is it possible to record another video in between the intervals when it's not in the pod?

is it possible to interrupt interval without putting it in the pod? like im walking around and seeing something cool to record and i just press a button to have it do a quick record that just becomes part of the interval recordings?

Tried this…worked great. One question…On the Go3 I think we had a small amt of ability to reframe “provideo”(freeframe). I do not see that ability anymore in the insta360 app (have not tried studio as I want to do editing on my ipad pro). Do you know anything about this.
Yes - I believe you can't do that any more. I've tried to long press to keyframe, with no success.. Which is sad :(

Yes, that looks like the only option for now.
I feel like the original interval feature was better. Getting 30s every 5 minutes vs getting 30s every time I experience something worth shooting. I realize just start stop can work, but it was cool to not worry about it powering off on its own
Hopefully, a 'total recording time' option will be added
I dont find a way to use interval in freeframe mode, it only works on normal video, do you know if there is a way to do it?
It doesn’t seem possible right now. Possibly in an upcoming FW update but I really don’t know.

Hello,
I have a few questions about my Go3s camera.
I changed the auto exposure settings from portrait mode to matrix mode and noticed short, unexplained noises being recorded. It sounds like someone is tapping the camera and occurs at 4 or 8 seconds. I was using the camera alone, outside of the action pod, when this happened. The sound is short, less than a second long.
Also, when I set the camera to interval mode and turn off the action pod, the camera's LED light blinks blue. Is this normal? The LED continues to blink until I remove the camera from the action pod.
Finally, I have disabled the LED lights in the settings, but the camera module still shows a blue LED light right before taking a picture. Is this normal behavior?

It’s just me here not a team. And it’s the weekend! You may want to talk to insta360 about this. I’m not familiar with this issue.

@@TheTechPacker Thanks. I have two Go 3s. Both cameras have the same defect symptoms and they tell me to send the cameras to Hong Kong. Because it costs a lot of money and time, I just want to know if there are other users with the same symptoms.
How much can you record a 4K 30 movie on 128GB?
Will depend on bitrate you select. But I haven't tested file sizes
