It's really difficult to explain the science of this, but Molko really came into his prime and maturity around 2003. After that he just learned to sing better. I am sure he is hesitant to listen to early songs. The Molko of 2003 onward is the best. Technically, sonically, and every which way. I'd love to time travel to 2004 and see some of those concerts live. But 2003-2012 are prime years. He still sings beautifully. And has a very unique and powerful voice that is pretty much the same as an instrument, in that it drives the songs.
Every live performance from 2003 through 2007 or maybe 2008 is out of this world. I mean, all their shows are good, but during the period 2003-2007/8 Brian's voice was in its prime
Live he has sung from throat since 2003 and before then was more a nasel vocal. On the 2nd album '98 and 3rd '2000 he had a darker tone to his voice which i really liked. 1st album was much more squeeky. 2003 TO 2009 i feel he used to just shout out of key to much. Since 2010 it seems more controlled and dark again.

No me gusta para nada su voz actual, creo que su voz comenzó a descomponerse después del battle for the sun, se a hecho más nasal y ronca, prefiero su voz de inicios hasta el meds, a partir de ese disco también han hecho muchos cambios por los cuales los dejé de escuchar además de que Brian se hizo más mamón.
