    I love scalloped edges especially as the edge of ruffles on the hems of 1850s dresses and petticoats that have a pretty edge to them that might possibly peek out.

    This was an excellent tutorial. I used it to shorten an ankle length corduroy dress that I thrifted to a long top with a 6 inch scalloped hem. Thank you!

    I would like to sew a scalloped hem with lace. Would it work though?

    • @ProfessorPincushion
      @ProfessorPincushion  Před 6 lety +1

      I don't think it'll look as well as lace tends to be see through and you're going to get multiple layers seen at the bottom. Instead, I would look for lace that has the scalloped edge already on the border. I just did a video on creating a lace hem here: czcams.com/video/rWwVziPOp1c/video.html
