  • Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) is a systematic approach to identifying and improving the quality of healthcare services. It involves ongoing monitoring and evaluation of processes and outcomes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to improve the quality of care. Basic quality tools are essential to CQI and are used to identify and analyze the root causes of problems in healthcare delivery. Some of the most commonly used quality tools in CQI include:
Pareto Chart: This tool is used to identify the most frequent causes of problems or errors. It helps healthcare organizations prioritize improvement efforts by focusing on the most significant issues.
Flowchart: This tool is used to identify the steps in a process, enabling healthcare providers to see where errors or inefficiencies may be occurring. It can be used to map out a patient's care journey and identify areas where changes may be needed.
Fishbone Diagram: This tool is used to identify the root cause of a problem by breaking it down into smaller, more manageable pieces. It is also known as an Ishikawa diagram or cause-and-effect diagram.
Histogram: This tool is used to graphically represent the distribution of a set of data. It helps healthcare organizations identify patterns and trends in data, such as how frequently a particular type of error occurs.
Control Chart: This tool is used to monitor a process over time and identify any unusual or unexpected variations. It helps healthcare organizations identify when a process is out of control and may require further investigation or intervention.
Overall, CQI and basic quality tools are essential to improving the quality of healthcare services. By using these tools to identify and address problems in healthcare delivery, healthcare providers can ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care possible.

Thank you for sharing this informative video on basic quality tools and continuous quality improvement. Total quality management (TQM), also known as continuous quality improvement (CQI), is a seven-step process that starts with the identification of desired knowledge, is followed by the design of suitable measures to obtain the necessary assessments, measurement, investigation of the measurements to find trends and best practices, return of that information to those who can effect change, implementation of change in practice to increase the incidence of best practice, and finally remeasurement to confirm the results. In contrast to standard quality assurance approaches, CQI places more of a focus on organizations and systems, paying close attention to process enhancements as opposed to individual improvements. A planned, predetermined approach called continuous quality improvement (CQI) is centered on actions that respond to community needs and enhance population health. The goal of state and local program levels is to create demonstrable gains in efficiency, effectiveness, performance, accountability, results, and other quality indicators.

Through this video, I’ve learned about the Continuous Quality Improvement which refers to a planned, specified procedure that places emphasis on actions that respond to community needs and enhance population health. The CQI framework model was discussed and this includes the structure (people, technology), process, output, and outcome. I have learned that achieving the goal of improving care delivery and improved patient outcomes can be accomplished by providers with the assistance of dependable, affordable, and sustainable healthcare processes. This can be achieved by improving the quality and performance of the healthcare environment in general. On the other hand, the basic quality tools were also discussed such as the histogram, cause and effect diagram, checklist sheet, and etc. In general, this video helped me in supplementing me with adequate amount of information and learnings regarding the Continuous Quality Improvement.

The term "continuous quality improvement" (CQI) refers to a methodical process for determining and raising the caliber of healthcare services. It entails constant process and result evaluation and monitoring, along with the identification of problem areas and implementation of solutions to raise the standard of care. CQI uses fundamental quality methods to locate and examine the underlying causes of issues in healthcare delivery. From the video I learned that it has 3 basic components which are: structure, process, and outcome. With that being said, I also learned that it gives a broad overview of the abilities needed by exceptional professionals to succeed in their fields and it is crucial because it gives programs the framework they need to evaluate their effectiveness and pinpoint opportunities for development. Overall, I learned a lot and I appreciate how it was presented.

The Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) is a progressive incremental improvement of processes, safety, and patient care. The goal of CQI may include improvement of operations, outcomes, systems processes, improved work environment, or regulatory compliance. Process improvement may be "gradual" or "breakthrough" in nature. Example of this is, when healthcare leaders analyze patient data to devise a plan to reduce postoperative infections or use data-driven approaches to shorten the average length of hospital stays. There are three structures of CQI namely; Structure, process, and outcome. Overall, it was supplemental video. Thankyou

In general, Continuous Quality Improvement and basic quality tools are crucial for improving of medical services. Healthcare providers can guarantee that patients receive the best care possible by using these tools to pinpoint and address problems with healthcare delivery. Through this video, I learned that CQI has 3 basic components (structure, process, and outcome). It provides a thorough overview of the skills needed by professionals, and it is important because it provides programs with the framework they need to assess their success and identify areas for improvement.

The structure, method, and consequence of CQl are its three fundamental components, according to the video I watched. The framework gives a broad overview of the abilities required for high-caliber professionals to succeed in their fields. It is crucial because it gives programs the framework they need to evaluate their effectiveness and pinpoint opportunities for development. The Institute of Healthcare Improvement (HI), on the other hand, is another subject under discussion. This non-profit organization educates the public about safety and quality in healthcare. Its objectives include developing answers to once insurmountable problems, hastening learning and systematic improvement of care, and mobilizing communities and health systems to lower harm and fatalities associated with it. I also came to understand that the HI Model, which is based on the Plan-Do-Study-Act cycle and three core questions, is a useful instrument for enhancing healthcare delivery outcomes.

I've learned that Continuous quality improvement, or CQI, is a management philosophy that organizations use to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and increase internal (meaning, employees) and external (meaning, customer) satisfaction. It is an ongoing process that evaluates how an organization works and ways to improve its processes.

In today's video, it talks about Continuous Quality Improvements or QIP which consist of 3 basic components namely Structure, Process and Outcome. The principles of QIP based on the current and future state was also discussed in the video. QCI Framework Model where structure is consist of people and technology. IHI Model also was discussed which serves as a guy if there's improvement of the plan. There are also 7 steps of PDSA cycle consisting 1. form a team 2. set aims 3. Establish measures 4. Select changes 5. Test changes 6. implement changes 7. Spread changes. Overall, this video is supplemental and helpful because to be honest, I don't have any idea regarding these topics.

There are 3 structures make up CQI or also known as continuous quality improvement: structure, process, and outcome. Creating a culture where management and employees strive to provide consistently higher quality is another goal of this CQI. After I watched the movie in its entirety, I discovered how to achieve a result successfully without exerting needless effort in other areas of your business. Thank you for this informative video.

Continuous quality improvement (CQI), another name for total quality management (TQM), is a seven-step process that begins with the identification of desired knowledge, is followed by the design of appropriate measures to obtain the necessary assessments, measurement, investigation of the measurements to find trends and best practices, return of that information to those who can effect change, implementation of change in practice to increase the incidence of best practice, and measurement. CQI places a greater emphasis on organizations and systems than traditional approaches to quality assurance, paying special attention to process improvements rather than individual changes. Continuous quality improvement (CQI), a preset, preplanned strategy, is focused on measures that address community needs and improve population.

CQI or continuous quality improvement have three structures, namely, structure, process and outcome. The purpose also about this CQI is to create an environment in which management and workers strive to create constantly improving quality. As I continue to watch the video I learned about how to produce an outcome effectively without making yourself struggling to other parts that is unnecessary of your work.

  • @danielleroseconsuegradonal4061

Based from the video I watched, CQI has 3 basic components, namely: structure, process, and outcome. The framework provides an overall summary of the skills that high-quality professionals need in order to do their professions successfully. Its importance is to provide the structure for programs to assess their performance and identify areas for improvement. On the other hand, another topic being discussed is about the Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI) which is actually a non-profit organization that brings awareness to safety and quality to people. Their aim is to accelerate learning and the systematic improvement of care, develop solutions to previously intractable challenges, and mobilize health systems, and communities to reduce harm and deaths. In connection, I also realized that the IHI Model is a beneficial tool to improve healthcare delivery outcomes based on three fundamental questions and the Plan-Do-Study-Act cycle to test changes in real work settings.
