Not that simple. If you are in the workplace, you shouldn't have to worry about random people asking if they can jerk off in front of you. If it is someone that has a say in who gets promoted, who gets less hours, even worse. Even Louis has said he regrets ever doing it. He was doing something wrong. The point is, he has been punished much worse than others that have done worse and there seems to be no path for redemption.

And press charges and get him fired. If I worked in a place where some whale kept asking to fingerblast herself in front of meI would gtfo of that workplace and report her. But all you care about is the end result which is a better advantage over other people. I guess we're all vain

"Charlie Sheen ... he has no shame"
"Louis did apologize and own-up to it..."
These are the two key statements in the clip that explain everything about why Charlie has a super-bowl commercial and Louis is ostracized.
It isn't about justice or fairness; its about exploiting any/all vulnerability for the sake of displaying the power of the mob, and in doing so expanding that power via consensus (legitimate or otherwise).
Capitulation and apology does not grant forgiveness or relief, rather it the equivalent to pleading 'guilty-as-charged' to the worst interpretation possible for any and all claims made against you now or in the future.
Your punishment is automatically the absolute maximum the mob can apply, with your capitulation and apology serving as your endorsement for whatever the mob demand.
Your job, your marriage, your kids, your home, vigilante violence against you; you could literally be murdered in public and a large portion of the mob will conclude you had it coming.
This sort of "justice" is exactly why civilization birthed our imperfect but far preferable court system, and what progressives see today as progress is exactly the opposite.
Listed charges, the right to confront your accuser in court, a defined range of possible punishments, a jury of your peers or at the very least a trained and certified judge; this is civilized and fair.
If accusers aren't willing to make it official and take the proper legal path, the ONLY response any targeted person should provide is GO FUCK YOURSELF

Not true. I’ve heard Charlie apologize for things. Other actors also apologize and everybody forgets a what the fuss was about 3 days later. While other people refuse to apologize and are punished for life. There is no science or methodology behind it. Some things “stick” and some things don’t. Depending on how the stars align, how you handle it, and what else is in the news at the time all play factors. Americans’ expectations are also constantly evolving. Before social media’s rise the public absolutely LOVED the “confess and repent” schtick where all the cameras caught the moment. It gave “closure” and the public loved to see the “comeback” after they publicly repented for their sins. But now most the PR firms would all discourage this type of thing because it’s too scripted & inauthentic and will just add fuel to feed the social media fire. But still there’s some celebs and politicians who can “ride the storm and direct the whirlwind” and come out unscathed. It just depends...

That is absolutely not at all factual. Our severely broken, sexist, racist and biased judicial system is so lacking when it comes to the rights and protections of specific groups of people. A woman who is raped confronts her attacker in court and more times than not she ends up being shamed, attacked and accused of somehow provoking it. Nothing a woman could possible do justifies her being raped. So to say that if it's not deemed illegal in court then it's not an attack against someone is naive and part of the reason why woman and people of color have had enough and are getting justice for themselves since our justice system and society don't seemed concerned enough to help them.
Just like everything some people will abuse it and some will take it way to far but that doesn't negate the fact that we have some serious issues in this country and the world that we as a species need to address and stop looking the other way because it doesn't directly affect us.

Eric Barnard That would be great. We could get the real story on him leaving “Two and a Half Men” and also his actions leading him to where he is now.

There are podcasts with charlie sheen explaining these things actually. It was pretty good. Sheen would be one of the best guests joe ever had imo

I'm being a little unfair as I haven't listened to the whole podcast but, Bill has to have an audience clapping to help break up his monologue

Louis C.K.’s SNL episode where he did the “Last Call” sketch had me laughing so hard I was crying. That guy is a brilliant comedian.

onee Yeah, but he was in a position of power to the women professionally, so it put them in a bind. Not a cool thing to do, but nowhere close to sexual assault.

@@brainmind4070 that's like saying that if a popular musician hooks up with an aspiring musician (even back stage) consent can't be made because there is a power dynamic -one being popular with resources/connections and the other without-. The aspiring musician's career would not have ended because they said 'no'; though it's fair to say it may not take off in the same way. Furthermore, not all forms of employment operate in the same medium. In this case, there was no discrete promotion or demotion to be had. By giving verbal consent, but not actually "meaning it" their behavior is just sycophantic when viewed through the lens of power dynamics.

This is true. Another important factor is people keep mentioning "in the workplace" but it was in his own personal hotel room after 2am, and after the 3 of them decided to go into his room following a night of them drinking.

Joe Byrne It really depends on how it happens, but a popular musician abusing his fame to get another aspiring musician to watch him masturbate would be the same deal.

@@brainmind4070 Context matters always, that should go without saying. Regardless, as joe Rogan said it is not sexual assault. It's not even indecent exposure because they gave verbal consent. If I asked you for money and you willingly gave it to me - but you didnt really want to and were just uncomfortable with me asking- did steal from you? No.
Now add a power dynamic into it, but I haven't promised you anything whether it be reward or punishment. It's still not stealing. It's still not a crime, nor should it be.
