  • It was such a pleasure to speak to #vijayvarma who is definitely one of the most talented actors currently working in #bollywood . Its no joke that he hit it out of the park as Hamza in Darlings on #netflixindia and here's him and I discussing his journey and the several ups and downs he has faced. I hope you like the Vijay Varma Interview With Anmol Jamwal

Witnessing Jammy's growth is so overwhelming for me. I still remembered discovering him in 2018 and amazed by his analysis, and most of the times I wait for no spoiler reviews before spending my money on any movies. Wish him all the luck, keep growing dude you deserved every bit of it.

Thanks a lot Jammy for this amazing interview. I loved the fact that you asked about whether the scenes in the movie that showed Hamza abusing Badru were choreographed or whether the scenes were just organic. When I saw the movie those scenes seemed so real because Vijay was extremely natural in playing the role of a manipulative husband. I especially loved the scene where he climbs up the stairs with his lunch box dangling and hitting the steps. I could feel the fear Badru felt knowing that her husband would barge in through the door any moment and start hitting her.

I may be wrong but Vijay Verma once appeared on a Crime Patrol episode. It is fascinating to know how does he study a character, does his homework and then enacts it. Here's the thing when i was watching the police station and jail scene i had souch deja vu it's uncanny. It is so so well written and realistic. I have a relative who beat his wife multiple times just like Aliya and we were furious we always kept telling her she should file a police complaint, we did not care that he was our blood.
One time it was so bad he threatened to kill her so she decided to go to the police with us, wrote the FIR and did the paperwork but all it took was seeing him in jail, shedding crocodile tears, buttering her up, self loathing, apologising and promising to change just the way Hamza did and in a second she backed out said she wanted to take him home, doesn't want to file charges, behaved like we were trying to destroy her family just like Alia's character. We were livid, after that we distanced ourselves from her.
But watching Darlings i just can't believe how realistically they wrote and implemented that scene even the reaction of the police officers was exactly the same when she backed out.

So there is something that i have observed about Anmol's interviews. The content of some questions may be generic but the way he articulates and makes it specific to the guest does wonders. He is able to elicit information which is raw, unplanned and authentic. I loved how Vijay revealed in this interview about his dislike for certain characters but why and how he agreed to do them. Jammy comes with a personality that is approachable and commands respect. That is so important for a real conversation to happen. One doesn't need to say 10 lines of flattery in order to make the guest comfortable. Just ask them the valid, relevant and intelligent questions. Simple. Good job Anmol.

Vijay debuted with a small role in Manoj bajpayee movie 1971. He has come really a long way from that underappreciated movie to this much talk about movie and especially casting opposite one of the best actress of this generation.
-- Jammy have you watched 1971 movie?

I'm so sorry, but I got introduced to Jammy's videos from his video on Reaction videos. That's when I came to his channel and binge watched so may of his review , dance and analysis videos. And I'm so impressed and really felt bad of not knowing his work before. Now, it's just a routine for me to watch his videos.
I genuinely love his opinions, most of the times I agree with him.
    Keep on doing ❤

Oh my kind is this for real. Someone is actually asking questions like 'Were the scenes involving physical touch choreographed or improvised ' .. Good days of journalism are finally here. ❤️
