Happy to help!
Just ordered a new coil for my husqavarna 128cd weed wacker.
Nice video, Thanks
glad i could help
@small engine guys Thanks to your video and this weed eater is designed for easy maintenance.Started first pull.
Thank you for mentioning my channel I appreciate it and keep up the good work
No problem 👍
Hey can I watched your video first, because I was attempting to do this and I did but I took your advice and Drank the beer before I started, and I never threw the weed eater too far. Just kidding now you really helped got it going. Thanks
nice!
I bought the cheap coil didn't watch the video until it didn't work and ordered the hub arms version then I watched the vidio. I know what you mean about wanting to throw the weedeater. I didn't but I did end up taking it apart and putting it back together 4 times. Next time I'm going to check for a vidio. Thanks for the help.
your welcome
also important to check sparkplug gap.. chew a piece of gum for about 30 seconds and jam it between the electrode and ground. If it fits, you're ready to roll. If you don't have gum, any other object will work, just NOT CORRUGATED CARDBOARD!
gape should be 30 to 35 but most are pre gapped
Hey brother I was wondering if you might be able to help me? I replaced the coil and still no spark. So I replaced the killswitch and still no spark. Used a spark tester and shows no spark even getting to plug so that's not the problem. What else could I do? Is there possibly a way to test the coil maybe it came bad from factory? I'm so lost on this thing.....
@@gawddangthatsmoist2251 make sure its gapped right. Make sure it is not backwards. Make sure it lines up with the magnets on the flywheel . Pull kill wire off coil completely. Still no spark is a bad coil.
Thanks for the help
No problem
Hey I done the job but still will not start, what could I have done wrong
Did you check the old coil with a meter to confirm gone bad?
I was thinking why not take the shaft end off and the coil.
Good content, need to work on your camera placement
Working on it
Been watching your videos and subscribed. Do you know is husqvarna makes there own engine for the 128ld or it subed out to another company like MTD . Just wondering because I've owned mine over 15 years and it's been great to me. Thanks for the videos 👍😁
Husqvarna makes there own engines. they also make poulan engines. they are made in Sweden
@@smallengineguys I have had Husqvarna units that had Chinese engines
@@beavisroadhog9629 pretty sure they are all made in china. Hondas used to be but china stole the design so they are made in Taiwan. Most all brands are designed in there original country but made where the labor is cheaper. Chevy in mexico. Ford has alot of parts made in mexico. Etc. all of stihls carbs are made in china. List goes on. Most of what you own is made in china.
@@beavisroadhog9629 guess i should of been more specific. Husqvarna trimmer motors are designed in sweden
I have this same weedeater. It has spark and is getting fuel but will not even try to start. Could it be a flywheel shear pin? Do you have any suggestions?
take the muffler off look in to the piston is there lines in it
Stallled at first move scrwes for recoil sieged up!
How did u get the gas tank back on?
I have the same weedeater with no spark. Will a bad killswitch cause no spark, or is it definitely the coil??
so to find out take it apart unplug the kill wire and try it and see if it got spark. has spark its probably a pinched wire. it does happen.
@@smallengineguys OK cool thanks
Hub arms dam spell check!
you still said hub arms lol
Are these a common failure on this machine?
I've learned to grab a beer and find a video on what I'm working on 🍻
Not super common but it does happen
