I ended up getting the Razer Thresher Wireless for Xbox One though, which is essentially this one without the headset base/stand for PC use. It has other added features though, like Windows Sonic and comes in at only $150 (a significant $100 less in difference in the price tag. So it doesn't feel as much like you're breaking the bank just on a headset. Especially if you only plan to use it for the Xbox One X, and not PC). I'd love to see you do a quick review on those since I haven't seen a review on the non-Ultimate Thresher.

Razer Thresher Ultimate is a 250usd premium headset. The expensive stand. The built in Dolby 7.1 surround sound has it's cost. But it still emulated sound, leading some fps player to choose a stereo output. For that, if you play on PC or any Xbox One version, here's what I've done. Razer Thresher Tournament Edition is the wired and stereo version of Razer Thresher, but for a 100usd. If you play on PC you might rather get a Kraken V2, but if you play on Xbox, the Razer Thresher Tournament Edition wire is particularly well maid to plug into the controller. And you can use emulated 7.1 surround sound on Windows 10 (and Xbox One) with the free Windows Sonic or the paid Dolby Atmos for Headphones, which was my choice, for having fun with the lows. The specs of the 3 versions of the Razer Thresher are pretty much the same, changing the wireless and the built in surround sound. But for saving money, it might be good and helpful for someone.
Awe of tech , huge fan of urs , im thinking about buying this headset but in the amazon link there is 2 version , thresher 7.1 and theresher 7.1 ultimate , i would be very happy if u could tell me the difference between the 2 so i can decide whether is it worth the extra money on the ultimate 7.1
My experience with this headset has been, it works well with your PC and Console. it works well plugging them in at the same time, but if you are recording gameplay or streaming your Console then the audio will cut out or glitch while your playing. If your streaming your PC games, works just fine. If you just have the Headphones hooked to the console only and record / stream it might fix this issue. Not sure.

Not gonna spend so much on accessories the price sure is competitive with the astro a50s now i have tried the astro a50s at a friend's house and got to say they were good. So now we wait and see where would razer stand
All the razer headsets i've ever held and put on my head have been made of really cheap feeling plastic and just fragile. It is definitely not near as good as it should be for the price

its razer so the sound is horrible. its pointless to buy a gaming headset anyway. all marketing. get a normal audio headset and get done with it. no need to spend your money on this kind of bullshit
