Whenever I can, I listen to this while gazing at the Horizon and I can see Mr. Tee in the sky, just like an anime ending. Thank you Mr. Tee and Woody Goss.
This album!!! This album is what got me hooked on jazz. I heard it at a party and a friend made me a cassette and I must have almost melted it playing it over and over!
I listen to LP often. Still in pristine condition. Can you believe someone gave it to me "...here, see if you like it - I don't" I need more musically challenged friends like that. I'd have a greater collection than I currently do.
Absolutely one of my favorite LPs! Tee is phenomenal and I think metronomes take lessons from Steve Gadd! Michael Brecker’s Tenor solo hits it out of the park.
I had the good fortune to meet Richard Tee when he came to Manila to perform with Tom Scott in 1980! Tom Scott headlined the concert. Steve Gadd was on drums, Neil Stubenhaus on bass & Carlos Rios on electric guitar!

Holy shit, the groove starting at 0:16 literally caught me off guard. What a tune!!

Tee's piano made Bill Idol To Be a Lover. Have Mercy!
isn't this more of disco?
Me too, I was at college 1979 when the guys next door had this album playing. I've been a jazz guy ever sense.

What an amazing comment - still five years later. If you ever found such friends, I hope you wouldn't mind sharing them.

Richard Tee, Steve Gadd, and Eric Gale, the rhythm section from STUFF! Great album from one of the giants of the studio musician scene.
What a great musician this fellow was.

Vulfpeck tee time 2 minutes 15 in
That's signature Richard Tee that vulfpeck has borrowed.
Yeah the 4 white boys did it before Richard Tee
No they didn't, yeah right ehrnegerd
SAKI S, they were just pointing out the main section that inspired the song. I don’t think they meant any disrespect
I am here because of Woody Goss, no disrespect to mr. Tee
He passed away in 1993, sadly.
So you're here because Woody was greatly inspired by Richard Tee, nothing disrespectful about that. :)
doing your research homework for Professor Goss :)
Learning to Groof !
Long live positive influences
His backing is like a heavy tank🎼🎵🎶🎹👍
Although Richard Tee (Tenryke) of Brooklyn had own son. He was like stepfather to the famous Doris Duke
four sons.
