Hello Vacuumwars
I have a recommendation for you, I majored in biology for my undergraduate and in my research I worked in a histology lab, this meant I would prepare many slides and would have to quantify them. We did this using an application that is mac and pc friendly called “imageJ”. I got to the part in the video where you were looking for a software to compare pictures and this one can do it, even in batches which is nice! Let me know if you would like to know more about it
5:43 Please note that for the 2x revolution, one important difference is that the green (pet pro) version has a REMOVABLE housing to access the actual roller brushes, the orange one DOES NOT. I was deciding between these two a couple years ago, and that was the deciding factor that made me go with the green one, not the clean shot feature. I figured I could just spray stains manually and many times that’s what I do as I mainly use the vac for rinsing. But not being able to access and clean the brush rolls easily was a big deal for me, so for that reason I recommend the pet pro (green version) over the orange one.
Also adding that bissell releases different color ways in different regions/sets/retailers. My 2X revolution pet pro has the clean shot feature and removable housing, it is identical to the one in this video, but it is blue. So when buying, don’t focus on colors, focus on features.
As always I love these videos and the scientific method employed for testing. I also want to mention that Amazon shows your videos along with some of the products you review, so just be aware of that if you’re not already. Thank you guys! Love the channel.
Underrated comment
Yup. So far this hasn't impacted me, but it is a concern in the future. One observation: The rinse and clean tray's marketing material implies that it only works with the higher-end Pro models (with the Cleanshot and removable brush housing), but works just fine with the lower-end Revolutions.
I only saw a purple or orange one! And he mentioned a blue one! But I didn't see a green one! Am I missing something?
what is the name of the green one, I can only find the purple, orange and blue one on amazon
@@tinostarks you’re looking for the 2x revolution pro heat pet pro. I know it’s a lot of names. To be safe just look for the clean shot. There’s an upgraded “turbo” model that doesn’t have the clean shot but I’m unable to confirm about the brush roll access.
My machine *IS* blue, but it has the clean shot, 3 clean modes, and brush roll access. They seem to change colors depending on different markets.
Their branding and naming can be kind of unnecessarily confusing.
The goat of vacuum reviews
Thank you!
Literally. Now I don’t have to go crazy shuffling through 40 tabs and shillers
The level of commitment is commendable. Thank you sir
Thank you for this review. I was overwhelmed with all the options and just needed a quick comparison and you saved me so much time.
Glad it was helpful!
The world isn’t ready for such bad ass content
I had an older Proheat 2X Healthy Home Pet and I noticed it no longer sucked the water up, leaving my floor really damp. I tested it in different places and it was sucking. The seals were all there and seemed fine. However, at the point is was supposed to suck the water up, hardly any suction at all. Fed up, I bought the Proheat 2X Revolution Pet from an earlier recommendation by you. It was a game changer! It was far better than the older model all around. Seperate tanks, better suction, dryer floor, the express mode, much easier to clean and do maintenance to... Wow! Best money I've spent in awhile. My only gripe is that the spray feature to pretreat a stain is a little difficult to aim and hit without getting a bit of the liquid somewhere you weren't intending to.
If you plan to clean carpets often, and for years, just get the big green. The only other thing I would consider is some other commercial cleaners. It doesn't make much sense to get the other ones.
I've had 3 cleaners.
- The cheaper ones will work fine, but they will also break after some time. Big green is durable and has simple replacement parts.
- Volume of water is the main thing you are cleaning with, if you are deep cleaning. The big green will have to be refilled less often, so it's less work.
- The effective suction also matters to how quickly you can cycle the water. As in this review, it's at the top.
- If you want to deodorize carpet, you are going to need a lot of water. Simple 2 or 3 stage solutions tend to work well - vinegar / hydrogen peroxide / carpet solution are some possible stages. "Deodorizing" products aren't really as important as the volume of water cycled. The basic stuff can do it.
- The carpet solution does matter a bit in terms of surfactant quality. A good surfactant will require less passes to get dirt off.
Same. I use one for my house and my dad's business.
I get way better results than the 2 carpet cleaning businesses we tried.
I use professional chemicals (either Saigers Sauce Code Red or Rocket Radical Rinse) to prespray with a pump up sprayer and then use a rinse in the machine (I used Zep's Premium Carpet Shampoo at half the suggested amount or Rocket Radical Rinse which I preferred).
At least with the Rocket Radical Rinse, the carpets stayed cleaner longer than professional cleaning, which is the concern with home machines because In theory they might leave more detergent behind if you don't do a rinse with pure water or a rinse product.
Coming up on 7 years of use with my big green! It's a workhorse. haven't needed to replace the brush. My only qualms with it is how when i'm finished with it in an area, quickly need to move it over to a pad because some dirty residual water does leak back out right underneath it. While this mightt be true of all the others, the fact that this one is that much heavier could be a dealbreaker for some people.
I was able to get one of the purple pet pros from an online auction site for a whopping $4... I did have to fix a leaking hose internally, but it works great now!
I have the purple one and with 3 kids under 7 and a really old dog with toilet issues that carpet cleaner has been put to work and is amazing and works great on the mattresses and lounges.
Keep the content coming it's awesome and have brought 2 vacuums and a carpet cleaner based on your info and haven't been disappointed.
What is her name plz
I have a 2X Revolution Pet Pro and I absolutely love it. It does very well and it’s so easy to use. My mother in law does have the HydroSteam and I did like it but didn’t see it being much better than my 2X Revolution. If I didn’t already have it I would buy the HydroSteam.
Thank you, this was so incredibly useful 🙏🙏🙏 So thorough, such quality experiments using measuring equipment that the average person definitely does not have...excellent
You're very welcome!
ive used previous reviews to get the proheat 2x revolution (non spray shot thing) and it cleaned my carpets AMAZINGLY. thank you for your thorough testing and reviews.
Awesome! Thank you!
Same, got one at a pretty steep discount on Amazon and now my carpets actually get cleaned once a year (plus stains)
I loved that one! My son broke mine. They don't sell them in-store anymore(at least not around here) so, I bought the newer version with the spray thing and it was AWFUL! The bissell pet pro didnt work good for me. It left lines in my carpet, the attachment and sprayer were absolutely pointless. It also didnt clean the carpet, it still smelled.
I got a Hoover carpet cleaner 4 years ago and started to leak solution. After seeing the review for the hydro steam think I'll go try that one out this weekend
I think one big feature missing from the results is drying performance
I’ve been exited for this video but knew it wouldn’t be out until the end of the year until I saw my notifications! Let’s go!
I really like the OG narrator!
It’s clear that the tests took hours, and I do appreciate getting a summary in 6 minutes, can we get an extended version too?
Why would you want a longer summary?
Thanks for the request! We can keep that in mind!
After watching your best carpet spot cleaners 2023 video, we just purchased a Bissell little green pro. It works great! However, after cleaning a few spots around the house it has reviled how dirty our carpet was everywhere else, and our need for a traditional upright carpet cleaner. My question is: if we get one of these, would it also do the spot cleaning job just as well as the little green pro. I know it will be heavier and more cumbersome, and don’t mind those drawbacks as long as the performance (suction at the wand, etc.) is the same.
Don't forget the Bissell Big Green was the most powerful, the most durable, and had the largest tanks. For around $400 it's nearly the same price as a Bissell HyrdoSteam for $399.
But it's also very large and heavy. If you just have a couple carpeted rooms, the hydrosteam would be better.
I use a big green as I am responsible for cleaning the carpet in my house. It is great for cleaning large areas and it is very powerful. We got it because the gears for the brush rolls on our hoover smart wash started to grind and we didn't know it was a problem the smart wash had. Sumpremekizzle is correct with saying that if you got a few rooms and not a lot to wash the hydrosteam is better
I was excited for this but you didnt include the Tineco Carpet One Pro. I wanted to see it in comparison with the others. Hopefully you can include them next year. thanks!
yesss it's that time of the year vacuum wars!!
YESSSS you did it❤❤ THANK YOU😮😮😮😮. Still using my pet pro heat!!
Great! Thank you too!
I have 2 of the pet pro's. One is still in the box, they work great...
I just bought a Hydro steam yesterday for Black Friday pricing I’m here to see how it works. I don’t have any stains on my carpet so it’s more of a maintenance cleaning every couple weeks but I do believe that steam cleans better. Do you have a video or does anyone know what the Kpa or suction power of the Shark pro stick vacuum with clean sense IQ makes? I just bought that last week and it’s cordless but I don’t think anyone has a video of this suction power compared to other vacuums like Dyson and tineco.
Thank you for the review’s 😊
Any time!
Thank you for your work
You are very welcome!
The Proheat 2x has a fatal flaw - it's too light. You have to press down on the head to get full suction of dirty water.
I have the 2x pro it cleans great, but it just doesn’t suck as well as my old vax spin scrub (which I modified with a spring to get the scrub to actually scrub) so now I use my 2x pro then finish with a George on wet mode to dry carpet quicker. Maybe if the 2x pro had a spring loaded nozzle it would suck up the water better like the big green.
Love your videos they are so interesting
Glad you think so!
Hi, would you be able to tell me the difference between T8+ and N10 Max +? They are both on sale in my area right now and I can't find any info on their differences. It's for a friend who just moved into a new place. Tnx a lot! Hope ur doing great.
Just cleaned my carpets last weekend with the 2x revolution pet pro plus. It really does get almost everything out!
That is great to hear!
@@VacuumWars funny enough I had purchased the hydrosteam, and I actually ended up not liking it. I feel like it took forever to heat up and it didn’t really steam it clean the carpet good but I felt like it left a lot of water behind as well almost like it wasn’t sucking up all the water or most of the water I felt the same way about the 2X revolution I have the big green that I use for carpet cleaning in neighbors house is for my small carpet cleaning business and I absolutely love it. I put boiling hot water in there and it works great.
thanks. which is good for carpeted stairs?
How did the steam handheld cleaning thingy work? Does it steam as well? Is it as good as using chemical cleaners? 🤔
Hi, only version in my country is the Bissell 1858N ProHeat 2X Revolution. Is it comparable to the pet pro versions? Tks a lot for the content! Big help!
super helpful!
So glad!
Thank you for the really helpful review! We are a 3 cat / 1 dog household. I've read that you want to avoid using steam heat on cat urine as it will seal the odor into the carpet. How does coyote urine compare to cat urine? (I'm guessing it takes some real commitment to keep doing the coyote urine test.🤢) I've narrowed my choice to one of the Proheat 2x Revolution Pet Pro Plus cleaners. I'm concerned about reviews that state that the brushes continue spinning while using the hose attachment, which can cause damage to the carpet or flooring. How do you manage that when doing stairs or upholstery? Also, I want access to clean the rollers without needing to disassemble the housing and take off the belt. I wish there was a quick way to check that aspect in the materials. I've looked at so many carpet cleaners, it's hard to keep it all straight. I'm closer to a decision now, thanks to your review. p.s. I would like to see ratings on drying time and ease of cleaning the unit. Can't wait to start cleaning my carpets! 😜
Would the big green work well on thin carpet tile? I own a doggie daycare with lots of carpet.
I have the big green. Was just here to see if it's still king.
Weight is big in my experience to make sure you get a deep clean. Unless you force forward
downward pressure on the lighter units.
Thanks for the tip!
Ok. Two important questions:
1) How are you getting coyote urine,
and, maybe more importantly
2) What is going on over there that "coyote urine dried onto carpet" is a necesarry metric???
Amazon! We get a lot of questions from pet owners about pet messes, so we figured this could be pretty close.
I hope you'll be testing the new shark carpet cleaners 😁
We are excited to check those out!
I love Bissell carpet cleaners they are the best
That's good to hear!
Does the steam model have any sanitation benefits?
As always - great review. FYI - some of the links for this vid are not working. (The Bissell links)
Is the Big Green Prof compatible with shag carpets (high pile)?
Purchased both the Revolution 2X Pet Pro and a corded Crosswave based on these thorough reviews. Best money I've spent in a while! Thank You! My home is officially coyote urine and V8 free now! 😌
Hey that is great to hear! So glad you are happy with those!
Its like u knew I needed a floor cleaner today. 😂
Perfect!
Why don't you review the bissell big green pet pro
with the bissell big green
And which one is the best.
Can you please do the test on long haired carpet
Can you please review the shark carpet xpert carpet cleaner???
Has anyone used the Shark carpet cleaners? I went to Costco hoping to pick up the Bissell, but they only had the Shark. It’s a Shark CarpetXpert with stain striker. It comes with many attachments, it was $250 and see it it usually $300. I bought it today and haven’t used it. I could return it and have Costco order the Bissell Proheat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Plus (purple one) and it would actually be cheaper as it’s only $199 right now.
I don’t have a lot to clean, a rug that’s about 12’ by 16’ and then several couches and chairs. I’m wondering if I should go back and get the Bissell. I don’t see much on the Sharks. Thank you.
So, about AI recognition:
Training model to recognize stains should be not so hard. But for that task you have different problem - you need to find way to make stains uniform. Currently they all are different shapes, which will confuse AI. If you have different start position (visually), it would be hard for AI to compare end results.
Would be cool if you could exchange the foot to do hard floor cleaning. I mean there's no difference to a wet hardfloor cleaner otherwise 🤔
Please please please test the new Shark CarpetXpert shampoo vacuum!!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Can they also be used to just suck up pet hair from hard floors.
I only have a few carpets and of course want it to clean my sofas and mattresses
I thought you would also add hoover powerscrub XL too. I'm contemplating between from the video and Hoover all carpet cleaners...
This video is only comparing the Bissells. (sorry) We did look at some hoover powerscrubs here: czcams.com/video/wO-IW5528GU/video.html hope that helps.
Do you think the handheld vacuum rankings have changed much since your last handheld vacuum vid two years ago??
I am using Bissell Jetscrub which is not included here, it's good in performance. Any comments?
Great video! Can you test out the Big Green Pet Pro version?
Thanks! That's a strong possibility, but we are just not sure how soon.
At 1:58 it gives the hose lengths in inches. That's supposed to be feet, right?
How are you getting your hands on large quantities of coyote urine?!
Sweet I stopped the video right now and bought a Big Green.
I've got a sick senior cat and so I'm deep cleaning my basement carpet every week.
The things we do for these creatures.
I think you missed Bissell lift off model where it converts between up right and portable carpet washer.
Can you do a video on pretreatment.
What products do you recommend?
What methods should we use?
The closest to that we have right now is here: czcams.com/video/e2cB0_-JAYs/video.html
how do you get the coyote urine?
I have the hydrosteam , but if the big green has way better suction will that make any dirt removal difference
There is a lot to like about that Hydrosteam! We hope you enjoy it!
Lost an eye getting coyote urine, instructions unclear
Was considering the Hydrosteam, but seems curious that there's no max solution w/o steam given that you're not supposed to use hot water or steam for pet urine cleanup.
Professional cleaners and formulaters don't think heat is bad when cleaning urine, other than when prespraying an enzyme treatment as the bacteria producing enzymes will dye at very high heat but that would be applied without the carpet cleaning machine by a spray bottle or pump up sprayer.
Then after the enzyme treatment has had at least 30 minutes, they'll clean with normal heat, which is usually 200°F +
Quick question if I was considering between the hydro steamer and the big green. I only have one big room 20x15 carpet is pretty bad not replace bad but bad which should I get.
Big Green, its probably the best carpet cleaner on the market and ever made.
@@JoshAllen17Goated thank you
@@qseph8624 Of course
Would love to see how the new shark carpet cleaner would fare against this lineup
Bissell just released a new helix in their line up
Do you know about the bissell big green vacuum cleaner commercial vacuum
Yes
❤️❤️❤️
Do the shark cleaner next
I need to know where you got coyote urine
Would be great to have a test to see which leaves the carpet the driest in the least amount of time.
That would be interesting. It's probably well correlated to the usable section test.
Your 1st few links do not work??
Hey, I am a long time viewer and I hope you take this as a positive comment. I think if your videos were like 15 mins, every Friday like you do now that would be so awesome. Simply editing some of the vacuums screen time would perhaps lengthen without significantly more work? Plus I think CZcams pays out better on videos over 10 mins. Just a thought to an already excellent creator
I personally like that he doesn’t artificially make his videos longer
Why don't you try carpet sweepers
like the Ez spares quit carpet sweeper
Sagler compact carpet sweeper
Karcher cordless carpet sweeper
And yocada carpet sweeper
to see wich one is the best
GOAT 🐐
Proheat pet revolution: $249 trigger sprayer and "clean shot" function did not work straight drom the box. Peice of crap. Walmart forced me to wait 30days before i could get a refund
Sorry to hear that!
Looking for a carpet cleaner. Seems I've stumbled down quite the rabbit hole
We hope our videos help you out!
Your links to the winners are not working
I do miss the cat 😢🎉🎉clearly I see a scientist in you
Is using the bissell steam shot + the wet/dry vac by dewalt for $59.99 a good way to save money over these more expensive steam cleaner machines? I even seen hepa filters for wet/dry vacs, which could further save money. Thanks!! :)
The wet/dry vac for $59.99 is on sale at Costco.
No Tineco?
4:07 1 1/2 oz of what?
it appears none of your links is working
Wait a second! Coyote urine?
Everyone has it in their fridge, it's pretty common
I’m jw where he got the coyote urine from
Amazon!
I will say this, the littlest one with the retractable handle, has got to be the most worthless garbage i've ever seen, I bought one years ago, unfortunately, I wish I'd done my research back then. Going for the newer version of the 2x revolution, The pro doesn't seem applicable for me, I also don't need to struggle cleaning the roller brushes with an air hose.
I bought 3 different Bissell products, they tend
not too last long for me
The Bissell Big Green might be worth it just for the build quality. My parents have one that all of us kids borrow and it hasn't had any problems with after several years.
I can never seem to get my coyote urine stains out.
Where does one aquire coyote urine 😅
Amazon!
@I can build you a computer vision system! Reach out to me if you want this, I would need your help with data collection and annotation. I have 5 patents now in computer vision.
Time to do canisters
You know, because you're a vacuum channel?
Shark CarpetXpert Carpet Cleaner ?
Dude seem to ignore major fault which is these with hose can burn your house or carpet
They need to reevaluate their naming decisions… horrible names! While they do that, they should have a tier system and point out what each one does that the base model doesn’t…
I like the gold one with the steaming option, but it doesn’t have it via wand, limiting steam compared to a actual steamer, expensive and not great reviews. The steam is the only plus it seems.
The purple turbo seems to be the best reviewed, easy roller access, decently priced, but unnecessary spot treatment, no steam
The others lack easy roller access and steam but are more in a better priced category..?
The big green seems to be priced good if you don’t require steam, need something reliable and gets the job done fast. I guess if you’re conflicted with the big green and steam since they are both priced $$$, you’re better off going commercial and buy a steamer for that need. Buy something that does the job well not decent at that price point.
How the hell you got cyote urine???? 🤮
