- Chinese Grammar Simplified!! Chinese sentence structure is very different from English. A lot of students are confused about how to properly put words together. In this video, we are going to talk about how to build a statement and a question properly in Chinese.
I will go more in-depth into other types of questions such as "yes or no", "A or B", or "how and why" in future videos.

YOU EXPLAINED IT SO SO SIMPLY I LOVE THIS
I'm in an HSK4 class right now and have never had sentence structure explained so clearly. Thank you!!
This question structure is finally sinking in! The graphics really helped. Now when I think of the Chinese question structure I can picture this example. Thanks!
This is beautiful, thanks man
This has helped me more than my actual class.
Chinese sentence structure seems easier than English, to be honest
Lol I think it is
English is one of the hardest languages you know, atleast that is what I have heard
@@qi6303 your not wrong tho I’ve known it for my whole life but Spanish was a lot easier or maybe cause my family is Hispanic and we speak Spanish a lot
@@qi6303 It's the opposite, honestly. English has one of the simplest grammars out of all the languages I've seen, with the only contender being Chinese. The only hard part about English is the pronunciation, but once you get past that it's smooth sailing, and compared to having to learn thousands of hanzi it isn't so bad. I think that's one of the reasons English is a lingua franca, because it's so easy to learn.
@@qi6303 Actually between the three English , Chinese and Spanish the last one is the hardest, this is because spanish has a lot of conjugation on the verb and more grammar rules than english or chinese.
In spanish the verb changes depending on the time (past,/present/future) and the subject
(Yo /Tú / El / Ella / Nosotros/ Ellos), (I/You/He/She/We/They).
for example: the verb play in spanish is "jugar" so when you say I/You/He/She/We/They play(s)
in spanish, the verb changes according to the subject and time.
Yo juego/ Tú juegas/ El o Ella juega / Nosotros jugamos/ Ellos juegan. All this in present time.
Yo jugué /Tú jugaste /El o Ella jugó / Nosotros jugamos / Ellos jugaron. Past time.
Yo jugaré / Tú jugarás / El o Ella jugará / Nosotros jugaremos / Ellos jugaran. Future time.
We find that there are 14 variation of the verb "jugar". and this changes on every single verb in spanish.
While in english you just write the same verb and just add "s", "ing", "ed", "ier", etc.
And as you can see in this video, Chinese is an easy language, the only difficult thing is the pronunciation.
Personally I'm a native Spanish speaker with chinese roots so
i can tell you that this is nothing compare to spanish. So yeah, Spanish is the more difficult language to learn among these three.
been 3 days learning chinese I feel so blessed because I found this video so early
How you doing 6 months later?
How you doing 11 months later?
how you doing 1 year later?
How you doing 3 years later ?
3 years into studying Chinese and finally it all makes so much more sense!! 谢谢您老师
Xie xie. But please show it in pinyin.
Nearly everything I've learned so far about Chinese grammar is so logical. I love it!
Makes so much sense! Thank goodness Chinese grammar isn't as complicated as I thought it would be. The graphics are so helpful, thank you so much!
Man, your pictorial representation of the constructing a sentence in Mandarin is really good and easy to follow. Thanks!
Spend 8 years of my life learning Chinese and wasn't taught this.......Thank you i finally understand it all. All my Lao Shi did was told me to read Paragraphs and memorize dozens of words constantly, it was extremely ineffective.
@Dord Dord Maybe
So many videos about Chinese sentence structure and yet this one gets straight to the point.
多谢!
Why did I not discover you two years ago when I started studying Chinese? Sure glad I finally did. You are clarifying so many things. The graphics are excellent and helps me a lot.
Glad to help
I'm into 3rd month learning Chinese and I am so happy that I ran into this video this early in my learning journey. This will really help me. Thank you!
Beautifully, beautifully made. This is how I think most English speakers need to learn foreign languages. With clear explanation of what things are, using pictures and colours. I love it! 谢谢!
Please do more videos on Chinese grammar! The comparative analysis of English/Chinese is what is fascinating.
Beautiful. So logical. Your explanation is well structured, there is almost symmetry around it.
Came here out of curiosity, trying to figure out how Chinese differs from Japanese sentences structure. Very interesting. Also great animation, really clear and helped the info go in with minimal distractions.
Same, but to see how it differs from Arabic
im here for the same reason lol. i heard that chinese follows the subject verb object sentence structure like english does which was interesting to me since japanese and korean, two languages that have borrowed chinese characters (although theyre less widely used in korea nowadays), are both subject object verb order.
looking at how different these languages are from each other its interesting how they somehow managed to share a writing system. i get why they fell out of mainstream use in korea, outside of a scholarly context. i dont know all that much about korean but it seems to me that using chinese as its writing system was kind of like putting a square peg into a round hole.
honestly, i kinda wish japan had dropped it as well so i wouldnt have to take so long learning all those kanji lol. i think kanji might be a bit more ingrained into the japanese language then it is in korean tho, so i dont think it can really be removed at this point
ah!!!! thank you so much!! this is like.. such a simple video, but it basically unscrambled all of it for me!

Thank you for this. Very clearly explained:)
That was superbly explained, subscribed x a million!
Thanks teacher .it is really good grammar lesson
I really like your presentation! My only critic, there's always one - lol, is that it would be nice if the words were also written in pinyin (拼音) underneath the Chinese characters. That way the reader can see and hear the words while relating to the structure you have so eloquently explained & shown! Thankyou!
So Clear! Thank you
