- How to paint a rose tutorial. Learn how to Paint a Rose with this step by step video lesson for the beginning artist. David will show you how to paint these roses using acrylics. These techniques can also be used by oil painters.
David, you are a real teacher. I have taken other art classes and the teacher didn't explain anything. I learn so much from you. I used to mix my paint, but after seeing you PUSH your paint, I can't wait to get started. I do get impatient sometimes when I can't get the look I want. I am 77 yrs. old and have always done better sketching. I have trouble getting the right color. Thank you again.

I just want to offer some words of encouragement to the beginners that have just found this channel. I can honestly say the Heritage paints are AMAZING truly.
I have used some different Acrylics, these are the best that I have found. I taught myself to paint with Oil, which I liked, however I really prefer something that dries quicker. For me, the Heritage paints with the extender are the perfect combo.
And to top it off, David is here teaching us all for FREE which is a testament to his character as a human and a teacher. And with his lessons, you will find your style.

I am so glad that I have found your channel. My media of choice is pastels but have always wanted to learn how to use acrylic paints. I believe I have found the channel to teach me. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. As an over the road truck driver I would enjoy being able to include some of the sights I see through driving, in my ideas for painting, if that makes sense. Plus I have wanted to learn how to paint roses and other flowers for landscape paintings. There is so much I want to learn. My challenge is setting aside the time to be able to practice.
