Froilan Canlas is behind TNT Boys’ musical arrangements. He is also a singer and a composer here in the Philippines. He is one of the grand finalists of Tawag ng Tanghalan, a singing competition here in my country.

You have to check Froilan Canlas’ performances in TNT like Anak, If, and Light and Shade then you can connect the style that these kids did in this song.
Their harmony get us goosebumps and freaking shocked and crazy... But their are plenty of kids here can sing too but these TNT are phenomenal... Proud to them...
They have a voice coach that arrange their songs at the same time. His name is Froilan Canlas. He is also a singer, also compete on "tawag ng tanghalan" where TNT boys started.
The part where they sang a different language was not Tagalog. It’s a language in the Philippines called HILIGAYNON from the western visayas region (ILOILO). I know this coz that’s where I came from and grew up.
The song is a very old lullaby moms from that region would usually sing to their babies while carrying them “ILI-ILI” which means “to (gently) sway” to get their babies to fall asleep.

The Filipino song insertion is a lullaby in another Filipino language (Hiligaynon). This language is spoken in the Mid-western portion of the Philippines . . . the Western Visayas Region.
Iloilo, Negros as well as the island of Guimaras speak Hiligaynon . We are very familiar with that lullaby. We used to listen to that a lot sung by our moms when we were young.
If you want to see how the TNT Boys started, you have to watch Vice Ganda's episode where the TNT Kids where invited. He put a challenge to the 3 boys to sing Listen. That went viral and from there the TNT boys (named after the competition show they competed against each other in) was created on that premise. So many videos of greatness, specifically TNT Boys as the Bee Gees, Supremes and Ariana, Jessie J and Nicki Minaj for Bang Bang on Your Face Sounds Familiar. Other shows they have been on were Little Big Shots (US and Britain) and with Steve Harvey where they sang their signature song Listen and Someone to Love. But the best singing performance i think was The World's Best performing "And I am Telling You". There are so many great singers in the Philippines, but definitely the 3 big acts for me is Marcelito, Morisette and TNT Boys. BANG BANG live is a MUST for TNT Boys. You will see their artistry on this one, not just voice capabilities.

The inserted song is Ili-ili tulog anay, an Illongo/Hiligaynon (a different language spoken in the Philippines) Folk Song that's a lullaby. 😊
I love seeing them sing without any pressure and coercion to hit those high notes and it looks like they do it with a smile that shows that they really like doing it. It's like bewitching us to admire them. 🤭😁🥰

A behind the scenes on a Million Dreams, this was the song that they wanted to sing in the Finale of World's Best but the show's producers decided on Flashlight. Had they sung this song, they most likely would have won but they weren't the chosen one to win. But after the competition, the people behind their song arrangements felt the TNT Boys didn't get to represent their Philippine heritage on World's Best and to bring them back to their roots, the producers decided to add a Philippine Nursery in the song to remind people they are from the Philippines.

Just an additional info. The song juxtaposed to this performance is an Ilonggo Lullaby entitled Ili-ili Tulog Anay, which speaks about a carer lulling the baby to sleep because the mother is out doing work. And yes, you hit it right in the head when you said, it may be the environment where most of us were exposed to. Even at an early age, music and singing has always been an integral part of our development. Whether we end up being professional singers or musicians, most of us grew up on music and singing and even in the context of vocal harmonIzation, just because we just love to sing along any chance we could get. Which basically facilitates for better performances once we decide to take music and singing a lot more seriously growing up. Would be safe to say, singing and music is a second skin, whether or not we end up sounding good or not! By the way, if you love harmonizing, try looking the Philippine Madeigal Singers, you may find their performances very interesting, especially for a world class choir.
