Seriously just buy starter pack. The learning curve is extremely high. So messing around now will help you tremendously later on. Also it's very cool already now.

The Kopion do work. Their movement is best animal pack hunting movement I have seen in a game. They even chase you onto your ship. Hunting them in the dark with no lights is the best.
A very simple yet effective change they can make somewhat quickly i would think when finding friends. Is to have a simple drop down for party / org members. Thoughts?
Star Citizen is a game I'm desperate to love, and I see the potential. But since buying it, the bugs and poor server perf are so extreme that I can't even do the most basic of things, like complete even a single mission, or earn even a single credit. It's frustrating because, I see the immense beauty of the worlds they've built, and the incredible capability of the engine and simulation. The community members have been super cool and fun to interact with, and they are super helpful. I hope the dev team can get this game in a working order someday, I will definitely play the crap out of it then. I have high hopes. But I probably need to stop playing or I will get a bad taste in my mouth and lose the magic feeling this game is capable of elucidating. Either that, or I become a grizzled Neo bug dodger like you, but. ... I just don't have the patience I think.
Little mistake : Replication Layer was "online" since 3.18 already. It's the fact that it's not in the instance (where players are) anymore but in dedicated service (that's what allows, if instance crashes, to rebuild it from said service). It's called "Hybrid Service" To delve a bit further, RL It has 4 components in it: Replicant (its real core, persistence logic), Gateway (for communication/distribution), Scribe (for database read/write), and Atlas (for entity authority management). They used to be inside instance so persistence would be lost upon 30K. It changed now. Ironing Hybrid Service out and adapting its components (on separate service configuration) to a meshed instance is the last key tech to work on Since they relatively sucessfully tested instances 4 meshed DGS (Dedicated Game Server, see it as a physical machine), two per system, and functional jump point (just no VFX), hosting 200, 400, then 800 people (last being "less successful" let's say), only this RL Split (Hybrid Service) work separates us from Pyro. Imho it's safe assumption their teasing of Pyro for next (major) patch is actually very true Fingers crossed for that
Man I think the simplest way and the one that is less prone to... just ships facing ships while shooting in a very awkward way would be to - quite counter intuitively imo - limit ship maneuverability, every time you do some maneuver in combat mode you use your boost pool. Would add more differentiation between ships and some focus to the balance between speed, maneuverability and energy generation.
basically they're smaller caragors from shadow of mordor with a pair of extra eyes and a variety of new skins and the birds are just pelican pterosaurs!
Additional commentary for the video with 100% honesty, without the simping and dik sucking to CIG. - Character Creator: Same as it was before, just with a new UI, and still just as much of an un intuitive mess. So don't expect go to in and make a good character, without spending a few hours learning the absolute cess pool of un intuitive UI decisions. While a few minor new features are available like hair highlights, and make up. It's extremely simple and sub par for an alpha game that's been in development for 10 years, and has insane amount of funding. - New UI elements and interaction feature: Less immersive, and more janky than ever. Now instead of just pressing F to interact or pick up something. You now have un immersive, and in your face F icons hovering everywhere, with menu's within menus sometimes. It's a step backwards. -FPS combat: Depends on your taste. If you want immersive and good gameplay. Don't get excited. If you're looking for another twitch shooter, COD un immersive mess. You got it. Opinions will vary. - New EVA: They nailed it. Mostly. - New Master Modes: A major step backwards. CIG argues its a major step backwards, so they can take a few step forwards, but that seems quite redundant to me. - New Star map: While it works better.. CIG has still after 10 years not figured out that light blue/white text over bright planets, and bright backgrounds doesn't work. Maybe another 500 million in 10 years they'll figure this the fk out. While some very nice features were added, the UI team still proves their utter incompetence by making the most backwards, and utterly ugly and wonky UI design ever. With big over bloated boxes that float offset to the middle of the screen, rather than being pushed up against the edges, covering up a lot of your real estate space to see what you're actually looking at. Again, maybe in 10 years, with another 400 billion, the UI team will get its shit together. - New Creatures: Broken, jank. That's all. - Engineering. In its current state, only on 1 ship, not worth even mentioning as it has zero gameplay impact. - Distribution Center: Massive missed opportunities as usual by CIG, mostly a PvE playground with missions, if they aren't utterly buggy.

This has been the buggyist update yet but man oh man all the new stuff. From falling through ships, space ports not existing sometimes and if you walk through you float through space.. or dropping your gun randomly or the massive fps drops when the game used to run "decent" or all the cheaters. Def didnt play for 18hrs straight yesterday

Yep, they reduced it due to upcoming Freight Elevator feature in a later patch. Its annoying. You need to go to Cargo Decks, buy SCU crates, drop them inside your ship then loa those up with items now.
I have a few issues. My mobi is bugged, and have no idea how to change my shop parts and livery. I was told the options are in the mobi but the options list ends at wallet. 😆😆😆😆 and i keep getting this message in my mobi to connect to my ship!? Wtf does that mean?
3 ideas off the top of my head : delete the shadercache, check if you wear any armor that might clip with the mobiglass , try buying a new mobiglass on micro tech.. some of the colour variants where bugged last time i checked and still had the old mobiglass ui
Ship parts and livery are under the Vehicle Manager tab. You need the ship components to be in the local inventory of the location you're at to put them on the ship that is also available at that location. Make sure its "Delivered" from the ship terminal at the Space Port, and/or "Claimed" if you lost it.
Distribution cente rmissions, trying out MMs, doing the animal missions... if you think there`s nothing to do while we have the biggest overhaul of flight mechanics... you do you bro.
@Grimshak81 In this very same video he said the fauna AI doesnt work and the distribution missions are bugged with things not spawning correctly. And not everyone likes the lame MM changes. Like he said, theres nothing much to do, cope harder.
First, I'll preface with this that I can't snipe worth a fucking damn so it doesn't affect me...until someone decides to warn others about what I'm doing. The proper counter to snipers wasn't scope glare. It was level/environment design. And if you're not on guard against a sniper targeting you or your buddies, that's a you problem, tbh... If you must have a sniper glare on the scope to see the sniper, you're literally just requesting work and player skill be removed from the player. Most scopes in real life already have anti-glare lenses and those are often available for civilians too, it helps a load with hunting, no bright light shines off your scope potentially blinding you, or alerting your target that something _weird_ is over there and potentially triggering them to run. If you want to have the sniper location be identifiable _AFTER_ they fire their first shot, now I'm 100% on board. You do that by leaving a tracer back to the shooter. They got _one_ kill, and now the entire hive is pissed off. If you need the searchlight from God to find the sniper, and you didn't just assume that there's one there on the mountain...well, here's the counter now to the sniper. You show up on a planet. You get off the ship. You see the sniper glint. You take cover. You keep pointing out to your friend in the ship who then takes off, where the sniper is, and you smoke the fucking hell out of the sniper and they literally don't fucking exist as a playstyle anymore. Its insanely poor game design. I hope CIG eventually realizes how much the playstyle is now neutered and they undo it, or at least dramatically turn down the "HEY I'M HERE PLEASE SHOOT BACK AT ME BEFORE I EVER DO ANYTHING AND MAY NOT BE AGGRESSIVE YET!" shining at people with the power of the fucking sun. Scope glint is cartoonish and nonsensical.
Star Citizen , you can polish a turd ... but at the end of the day CIG deleiveres on 100% of the content with 5% of the functionality ... FACTS !! Another classic patch release where the majority of the content releases is broken , bugged , or very very inconsistent . 100% expected LOL !!!
Had to refund this game after playing for some days, I know it's alpha but so annoying to play when most missions fail once you arrive to their place. A shame it has taken so many years to get into beta lol. However their refund support is top notch, I requested the refund and 1 day later I got my money back.

The new map is cool. New FPS stuff is cool (when it works). Ship travel takes getting used to. Its nothing special. Master modes is complete garbage. Its gallaga with better graphics and less stability.
I don't want the to waste resources developing character generation. I play in first person. I don't play with a female character in 3rd person so I cab watch my ass run around

@@qdma7814 VR playerbase isn't small because of the quest; The _PCVR_ playerbase is the small one, which is further divided by the fact star citizen needs a high end comptuer to run well, meaning pcvr star citizen would need a rtx 4090 + ryzen 9 and probably still be like 30 fps.

3.23 really sounds and looks awesome, but I will still wait for the update that adds the Pyro system. After that I buy it. :)

This patch is absolutely amazing! I am constently getting very high frame rates compared to last patch, they improved the performance by x4!!!

Distribution cente rmissions, trying out MMs, doing the animal missions... if you think there`s nothing to do while we have the biggest overhaul of flight mechanics... you do you bro.
@Grimshak81 In this very same video he said the fauna AI doesnt work and the distribution missions are bugged with things not spawning correctly. And not everyone likes the lame MM changes.

First, I'll preface with this that I can't snipe worth a fucking damn so it doesn't affect me...until someone decides to warn others about what I'm doing.
The proper counter to snipers wasn't scope glare. It was level/environment design. And if you're not on guard against a sniper targeting you or your buddies, that's a you problem, tbh...
If you must have a sniper glare on the scope to see the sniper, you're literally just requesting work and player skill be removed from the player. Most scopes in real life already have anti-glare lenses and those are often available for civilians too, it helps a load with hunting, no bright light shines off your scope potentially blinding you, or alerting your target that something _weird_ is over there and potentially triggering them to run. If you want to have the sniper location be identifiable _AFTER_ they fire their first shot, now I'm 100% on board. You do that by leaving a tracer back to the shooter. They got _one_ kill, and now the entire hive is pissed off.
If you need the searchlight from God to find the sniper, and you didn't just assume that there's one there on the mountain...well, here's the counter now to the sniper.
You show up on a planet. You get off the ship. You see the sniper glint. You take cover. You keep pointing out to your friend in the ship who then takes off, where the sniper is, and you smoke the fucking hell out of the sniper and they literally don't fucking exist as a playstyle anymore. Its insanely poor game design. I hope CIG eventually realizes how much the playstyle is now neutered and they undo it, or at least dramatically turn down the "HEY I'M HERE PLEASE SHOOT BACK AT ME BEFORE I EVER DO ANYTHING AND MAY NOT BE AGGRESSIVE YET!" shining at people with the power of the fucking sun.
Scope glint is cartoonish and nonsensical.
Star Citizen , you can polish a turd ... but at the end of the day CIG deleiveres on 100% of the content with 5% of the functionality ... FACTS !! Another classic patch release where the majority of the content releases is broken , bugged , or very very inconsistent . 100% expected LOL !!!

Had to refund this game after playing for some days, I know it's alpha but so annoying to play when most missions fail once you arrive to their place. A shame it has taken so many years to get into beta lol. However their refund support is top notch, I requested the refund and 1 day later I got my money back.
Thats surprising i havent dealt with broken missions in years. Hope in thr future you can rejoin thr community once its more up to your standards.
Its not for everyone and the jank can be a tough pill to swallow for some people. Glad CIG got you a refund quickly and orderly.

The new map is cool. New FPS stuff is cool (when it works). Ship travel takes getting used to. Its nothing special. Master modes is complete garbage. Its gallaga with better graphics and less stability.

@@qdma7814 VR playerbase isn't small because of the quest; The _PCVR_ playerbase is the small one, which is further divided by the fact star citizen needs a high end comptuer to run well, meaning pcvr star citizen would need a rtx 4090 + ryzen 9 and probably still be like 30 fps.
