@derp derpinI am not huge on Waking the Fallen but I do agree that City of Evil is very good as a whole. But as individual tracks, I think the two tracks I mentioned have more to break down and analyze.
And Save Me! That song is so overlooked but it is so well composed. I think it's one of their best.

A great avenged sevenfold song to do would be Save me. is, in my opinion, their best song. It might even be my favorite song ever.

@@daveduncan518 I am guessing it was a favorite of the person who requested it. Personally, there isn't that much that is interesting in that song to "decompose". Songs like Exist, Save Me, The Wicked End, A Little Piece of Heaven would have been infinitely more fascinating to see him break down.

Avenged Sevenfold formed in 1999, and Hail to the King was released in 2013. Between those points, their original drummer The Rev passed away in 2009. They received a Grammy nomination for their 2016 single The Stage.

A very underrated and early song in their catalog that has almost a "rhapsody" structure to it is called "Remenissions" off of their Waking The Fallen album. Heavier, but very unique and has very interesting parts.

Iâd recommend âThe Wicked Endâ by them as there is a section in the song where an orchestra plays and itâs beautiful or even âRoman Skyâ. Both beautiful songs that Iâd LOVE to see you decompose!

@@katy61 Check out Aaron Marshall in the band Intervals. Specifically the songs Black Box and Leave No Stone. Dunno if you're into instrumental but he really is an amazing player.

Just because you think someone might be more talented, fuck even if someone is more talented, it doesn't mean that anyone else's opinion can't differ from yours on what makes them tick. Most every lick synyster creates is insanely clean, melodic, fits perfectly in the frame of the track...and sticks in my head long after I'm done listening to said track. While i could say the same about many artists, in my small circle, he's my favorite.

A criminally underrated song in the world of heavy metal
"A Little Piece of Heaven" is one of best compositions of theirs (looks like it is a popular vote here). "Save Me" is a great piece because of the drummer, he does different time signatures with his hands and feet in that one.
One of my favorite bands! Loved them since the beginning and they are great live. Matt has a spectacular voice and they are all great musicians.

Avenged Sevenfold is hands down my favorite band. Each one of the band members is incredibly talented even with a handful of radio friendly songs. There are two songs you absolutley have to listen to that are constantly on repeat in my daily life. "Save Me" off of the nightmare album and "Paradigm" off of The Stage. Two absolutley phenomenal pieces of work.
Another good one is Angel Vivaldi wave of synergy and triple helix. Amazing musician who takes you on some amazing sonic journeys.
Bat Country is probably their most popular song, and in my opinion is the best representation of them as a band overall. Another song that would be cool to see you do is So Far Away. Written about their original drummer, the Rev, who died in 2010. M Shadows hits some INSANE notes at the end.
The stage is a amazing guitar piece
One of my favorites and under rated in my opinion. This song shows restraint and how less can be more when tastefully done in song writing. A lot of bands with the technical ability of A7X have trouble just putting out a simple but tasteful song. This is thoroughly enjoyable.
You absolutely need to check out Save Me, I believe its their masterpiece in disguise and shows off just how versatile they truly are.
I'd say give a listen to Coming Home from this band. It has a pretty epic sound to it you may like.
âBeast And The Harlotâ is a fun ride from A7X...I think youâd enjoy that one!

Diamonds in the Rough is probably my favorite album from these guys. The song writing was a lot more creative and less mainstream. I'd check out 'Tension' or 'Dancing Dead.' Man, you seem to be doing ALL of my favorite bands. These guys were my favorite band for like 8 years back in middle school and high school.
Save me is also a masterpiece, I'm seeing that recommended a lot. That album was right after their original drummer died so the drummer on it is Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater, one of the first drummer's biggest inspirations. Portnoy's playing what the original drummer wrote.
I would recommend something from City of Evil. Everyone in the band is on top of their game and their original drummer, The Rev has incredible drumming throughout the entire record. Burn it Down and Blinded in Chains, Bat Country, and Sidewinder (really great flamenco esque acoustic solo in the back half) are all great choices. Besides this album, Almost Easy and Exist are great listens too!

Yeah, Set Me Free is kinda like a rerelease. The album that it is on, Diamonds in the Rough, is basically the album full of rejects from the normal studio albums. Most of its un/released song along with some main albums ones that are mixed different, like the Afterlife CLE remix. Imo best song of the album is Dancing Dead, one of the greatest main hooks Iâve ever heard, you should check it out sometime.
