I do some gaming on this laptop but it does get extremely hot. Make sure you use it with a cooler pad thing. Also, I was under the impression that the internal drive is M. 2, but I'm not sure about that
It's an NVMe M.2 drive, you can swap it
this laptop has p series processor, so its good for tasks slightly lighter than gaming. i would recommend you using it on a laptop stand and on medium settings
I want this for gis applications, like ArcGIS Pro and office work. Do you know if this laptop is suitable?

I don't know if you realized you made a mistake during the presentation, you said the system has 4 E cores and 8 P cores, Intel's documentation says it is the other way around.
If I did get my words mixed up then that's my bad. I do more than 20 takes when making my videos so I'm bound to mess something up.
Bro I got to 2:43 and you point at the lock hole on the side and say "oh it's an empty slot and not used so ignore that..."
Is this laptop suitable for Adobe photoshop and illustrator?
Definitely, I was using it during my testing since I make a lot of complex thumbnails for CZcams with it.

What are the actual dimensions of the display (excluding the bevel)? I use this for business and often have several applications open at once that I need to cross reference, thus needing a larger *display* desktop to easily accommodate app windows side-by-side.
its 15.6 diagonally,so its a little bit bigger than 14 inch,which is mostly favoured by people for not being too small or too big

Is this laptop good for programming? I've had a MacBook for a while from 2020, but I didn't get the right specs, and as you know you can't replace anything on a Mac. I'm a Computer Science student, so I need something that can compile stuff relatively quickly and can run VS Code on one side of the screen, as well as something like Firefox for looking up documentation since I don't really use Google Chrome anymore.
If you just doing programming with python, ubuntu, and or visual studio code you should be fine. As long as you not doing something that requires a lot of gpu power then you be fine since the cpu will be able to run tons of numbers with its cores and threads. I can say for sure since I don't know what level code your work depends so keep that in mind.

My husband got me this one, but a blue with gold wavy look. The silver keys made it impossible to see unless in the right light. Luckily, the one he bought himself came with a purple with black letters thing. The clear silicone one that came on mine fits his too, but that's actually useful on his. *facepalm*

If your asking if this laptop is going to be better than the laptop you already own then yes. Its good for pretty much everything besides gaming. The better question is what are you planning to use your laptop for since that way I can give you a better recommendation.
​@@TechGrant Thanks for getting back to me, I'm going to be using it for Affinity Photo and Microsoft apps mostly (I do use Vector magic though which requires rendering photos into Vector). also long hours of twitch.tv but not me playing the games or streaming anything. My dad's said that even having less storage is okay because everything's going on the cloud?

Hey Grant just found your channel, awesome content. Looking to buy my girlfriend one of these, she does video editing and live streaming on YT and TikTok...do you think this one would be decent for that or what would you recommend?
If she was just doing video editing it be perfect. However, if she streaming its not going to be good since it doesn't have a real gpu to encode the stream. If you want a better option, id recommend you get this one amzn.to/3qvNbUh since it have a gpu that great for encoding a stream and can be used for hardcore video editing like the hp laptop. But I would recommend upgrading the laptop ram from 8gb to 16gb later.

@@brutallytruthful I get that man. To answer your girlfriend question, if you're recording for reaction content, then I definitely go with the laptop i recommend. Since doing reaction is quite taxing. I can speak from experience since I run an anime reaction channel as well.

Yes, it can run 2 virtual machines as long you not doing anything crazy with them.

LCD Anti glare, is it good for eyes protection but very bad for viewing angles. Blacks are gray

Not that good, it's way better for productivity applications than gaming.

​@@thedead_grassI have one with the ryzen 7 5700U and roblox is absolutely disgusting to play even with lowest graphics settings. It sucks. I turned off background and everything. But roblox is badly optimized. If you get one don't consider roblox first. It's good for anything but roblox. It's such an unoptimized game. Download an fpsunlocker too.

Thx, I'm not sure what you do in cybersecurity for studies, so I can't say for sure. I will say this, if you are not doing anything gpu demanding, then you should be more than fine. It's ultimately up to you to decide at this point.

Author Emiliya.A you could probably upgrade your laptop storage if you lacking in space to save things. You could probably find a video on CZcams that relates to upgrading your laptop storage.

Yes, it works well with video editing software that allows quick sync. That's what I primarily use it for.

@@kevzbacolon6558 I have had no problems so far beside when I got crazy editing a big project and using photosshop at the same. It's rare for me to have that problem though. This laptop is clutch for traveling when I need something to edit or do photoshop on.

It will work fine as long as your code doesn't depend mostly on gpu for running code. The cpu will be more than enough power.

How is battery life ?
Around 8 hours so you can use it for a while without it dying on you. When I was using it during my testing it lasted 5-7 hours under productivity apps like photoshop, editing software, and cs:go. I wouldn't game on it though.

@@TechGrant I am curious how much the battery drains when the laptop is shut down. Mine loses ~7% per day. HP repair center tells me that is normal (I find hard to believe) but HP phone support says it is not. Just curious what others see.
