Didn't work for me until I figured out that the unit has to be on BEFORE holding down the lighting setting button.

Couldn’t figure out how to reset it after changing the filter, the online instructions said to hold the power button for 30 seconds and that is incorrect. Thank you for this video!

PSA: I BOUGHT TWO OF THE SAME TYPE BUT THEY SENT ME DIFFERENT ONES FROM AMAZON.
One must be off for the light to work.
The other must be on for the light to work.
Try both of one way isn’t working :)

Could you just wash old air filter and reuse after drying it out??
I've never washed the air filters , I just buy a new one to replace it and recycle the old one.

No you don't have to but it's a good pro, it will have the entire space smelling good.
hold for more than 2 seconds. mine turned off around 4-5 seconds.
How long does a filter last for?
it depends how long you run it for , I run mine at night 8-10hrs daily of running time and the filter lasted me at least 6 months.
Instructions say about 2,000 hours. Do the math because I don't know how long you run yours per day. I run 24/7 so for me about 83 days. They say you can blow out the old filter or wash in warm water for reuse. Experimenting now.
This video wasn't helpful i already knew everything else but she said to hold it down but never said that it had to be on so i struggled for like 30 minutes trying to reset it with it turned off.
where does the red light come on???
should be the top , same where there is a blue beam for the light option.
