So easy! Thank you. My car was burning oil so the point where when you checked the dipstick you could see a little smoke coming out. I switched out the valve and so far no smoke. Hopefully the check engine light comes off so i can get it smogged. I can already tell my car is idling a lot better
Thank you! Only video I found with my same engine. My car however has a foam cover over the pcv valve and it's brittle. Hard to remove. So is the hose.
Awesome. I rely on videos like this and there wasn't one for my car specifically. Once I figured it out I decided to just video it. Glad it made a difference for someone!
Ty,should I need to torque it 17 ft/lb as I checked that on Google. Also Old one have a little space between, should I maintain the same in putting new one .
@Zack Morris I am trying to replace mine in my accent (same model as yours) and that little tab brace that you just slid back with the pliers will NOT move. I was pulling hard enough with the entire car was rocking back and forth and that tab brace just would not move. Any suggestions?
@@zgmorris13 I heard that these engines consume oil when the PCV valve is bad. My car has 97k miles and is consuming oil but it does not have any oil leaks or smoke out the muffler. I am going to change it and hopefully it stops burning oil.
Good video but it’s called a PCV valve not a CPV valve u had the letters but incorrectly saying it. Lol. Dealer is a rip-off just did my knock sensor myself and they were going to charge me around the same price $300 for my 2012 Veloster which is the same exact motor as the accent

I replace it myself! 😝 thank you so much this video was of great help. Nobody believed I could do it! Thx to you! 😊
😘😘😘
Well done ;)
Good job
By now if your not married… man of Man 😊
Replaced mine today thanks to your video. It didn't fix my problem unfortunately, but it definitely needed to be replaced!
How can you tell if it needs replacement?
Thanks! This video helped me replace the PCV valve on my 2013 Hyundai Accent Hatchback SE.
Good video. New non-OEM part cost $42 in Australia so I just took it out and gave it a few squirts of carburettor cleaner. Seems to be ok now.
I got this code last night!! I’ll be replacing my own pcv valve 🙅🏾♀️
Thanks for your help. Exact placement on my 2018 hyundai Accent.

Shame on any dealer that charges 300+ to remove and replace the pcv.
Thank you! I have the same 2012 Accent. I now have this on my list of things I can do!
Nice work, only it is called a pcv not cpv. Good clear video.
Thank you so much!! Just save me tons on dealerships feed
Great video! I really appreciate it. I have 2014 Accent. I've been changing my own oil but I didn't know where the pcv was. So thank you!

Spray it
Thanks for the video, I, want the service handbook, if printed, would be better?!!!
Isn't that pcv? Not a canister purge valve.
Thanks. Fixed the title!
do you know the part number?
How often should it be replaced? I have a 2017
only if you get a check engine warning code
Any problems so far with the car? Mine is a 2017.
I got rear ended so my car has cosmetic problems, but none with this replacement.
Pcv
What the hell is a cpv valve. Lol
Misspoke on the video. It’s actually a PCV. Glad I could be of some entertainment.
Cpv?
I thought it was called a PCV valve
Why did you change it?
check engine light came on. Dealership did an inspection, told me it was this part, but wanted something crazy like $700 to replace it.

@@koolone3791 Did you replace it? Did it work? Is it consuming oil anymore? Mine consumes like 1 quart (1 liter) per 1000 miles.
@Mijagi1976 I changed it and I started using high mileage oil and I believe it's consuming less or hardly any at all
@@koolone3791 Ok. What high mileage oil do you use and what viscosity?
What’s the Pcv I’d number ?
WTF is CPV?😂

fixed the typo.
Its ok. That hapens to me 2. Pcv lol. Nice
IT'S CALLED PCV VALVE NOT CPV😂😂😂😂😂😂
