Known as the culinary capital of the Philippines, Pampanga has some of the best street food in the Philippines. To start our day, we went for a popular Filipino breakfast of silog, local style. We continued our Filipino food tour in this hot city by cooling off with the local version of halo halo.
The food to eat in Pampanga includes so many unique delicacies that are must try Filipino foods.
One of the most popular foods in the Philippines is Filipino sizzling sisig. Here in Angeles, the original Filipino sizzling sisig was born. Sisig is a must try street food that is loved around the country and we had to try this famous Filipino sizzling sisig where it originated, at Aling Lucing.
Last stop on our Filipino food tour was to a popular local restaurant that specializes in Kapampangan cooking. Here we tried stuffed frogs, betute, and ate rice field crickets known as kamaru! These unique dishes surprised us with their incredible flavours and textures. The taste of these dishes was off the charts! When visiting Angeles City in Pampagna, you have to try eating frogs and crickets!
