I'm a Brit who was on a working holiday in NZ, I spent the majority of my time in Christchurch and I frequentes The Rose & Thistle where I met a great lad called Josh who I still keep in touch with, once he'd left the pub, the locals told me his dad is a Kiwi legend named Wayne Smith and this is how I ended up here. I miss NZ, the great people and the beautiful countryside.

On my oath now; I have learnt more about the structure and means by which such a relatively small nation has set the bench-mark for world rugby for so long; simply by listening to this 'treasure' of New Zealand rugby. With the greatest respect to the many hundreds of New Zealand interviews that I have had the pleasure to listen to, this particular one, for me, is the best of the top-drawer. And for the two sad buggers that gave this interview 'thumbs down', " Stand up, and stop using your thumbs for balance, ya spack pelvised radgi mugrums".

humble and softly spoken but an incredibly brilliant and incisive rugby brain and coach .... set the standard for dual xvs and 7s All Blacks .... he should have been given more support as AB's HC and despite his disappointment, and the fact that he could have been a head coach for any other country in the world, his love for NZ took him home and he was always happy to put his shoulder to the wheel to help empower consecutive AB RWC Winning teams in 2011 and 2015 ..... that is some ABs legacy !

G'day Wayne. You assert yourself as always ready to learn new things and re learn old things. Here is an assertion (without dissertation). Go through and identify which hand each player writes with or texts with these days. Ask them to use their lazy hand more than the strong hand until they feel ambidextrous. You now have a player that has a wider scope of access to your suggestions and ideas not to mention the balance they achieve from this simple exercise which they can do in their spare time costs nothing but produces a balanced left and right brain hemisphere. Watch for the change after you do this. I am ambidextrous and it is like I have two me's. two players in one man by jingoes this could be innovative.
