    From a staunch All Black fan! Eben is a giant of a man and he's still only young. I am a rugby puritan and this young fella is already an incredible player and he's going to be a Hallmark in springbok rugby in years to come. He has strength, power and his lineout capabilities are fantastic to watch. As for the '4251340' guy who made the stupid comment above, you wouldn't last more than 5 seconds from a tackle from this guy.

      TMouseDF it's a creole, created by the non-Dutch in South Africa so they could talk to their new Dutch neighbors during colonial times. Provincial languages always seem to get on the nerves of the europans

      Wrong,in certain parts of Flandre,Belgium or Friesland you will hear the same sounds minus a couple of local Khoi and Malasian words.
      But,its a Germanic language.

    ***** They have 11 official languages last time I heard. The main ones spoken are Afrikaans and English though. I think this is in Afrikaans since they said their numbers in English as before the English or whoever it was (don't know my history) came they didn't have numbers just things like "a lot" or "not many"

    • @WildtuinMichael
      @WildtuinMichael Před 9 lety +3

      Lol what are you saying about numbers? You're right that this is Afrikaans, but it's absolute nonsense that Afrikaans didn't have numbers before the English came.

    • @groenrizla2513
      @groenrizla2513 Před 9 lety +2

      +Danny Wheels That is a ridiculous assumption. Afrikaans is a sibling language to Dutch, in other words it originated from the same language Dutch did but was also influenced by a number of other languages too.

    •  Před 8 lety

      +Groen Rizla what other languages?

    • @groenrizla2513
      @groenrizla2513 Před 8 lety +2

      +Uros Raca Afrikaans developed from the high dutch dialect spoken by the Germanic peoples of Northern europe (Germany, Denmark but not Netherlands Dutch) who were sent to the Cape as servants to the VOC. The strongest influences as the language and its various dialects emerged were from the Malay, Portuguese, French, German and Khoi. It is a very interesting topic if you are interested in S African history which very very few people know anything about.

    • @groenrizla2513
      @groenrizla2513 Před 8 lety +2

      +Uros Raca Yes there are a few good sources of info out there and I can help when ive got time. Are you interested in SA history generally or the Afrikaans language or the Boer people. What many (including most S Africans) dont know is that the Boer people are a completely different people to the Cape Dutch who are simply called Afrikaners while the Boers were forced under this designation.
