There is a lot of talk about Jack Crisp not getting recognition, he won the past two Copland Trophies, it is only in the media he doesn't get recognition, he gets plenty from the club.

as per the brownlow count...stats arent everything. even if they are generating complex ones lol the one key stat you have to remember is over 70% of an AFL game neither team has possession of the football.

Without Andrews in that first quarter last week, Brisbane would probably of been 8 goals down at quarter time.
If Hoyne wants Ginnivan to play then Collingwood should go with Frampton who did well in the ruck earlier this year when Cox and Cameron were injured, in defence on Tom Lynch and has scored goals in attack. Frampton, Cox and Cameron rotated through the ruck would be tough for Brisbane to handle.
Collingwood also has the advantage. McRae knows how Brisbane will play based on the two earlier matches.
The Pressure will be on Brisbane, they might have beat us at the Gabba and Docklands but this game is at The "G"...........

Frampton won't get a game because of ruck duties. McInerney destroyed with 43 hit outs against Frampton, McStay and Johnson in the first game against the Pies. With both Pies' rucks back, he also got 41 hit outs in the 2nd game and owned Cameron for 3/4. If there's one positive from the 2nd game, it was actually Cox who soundly beat McInerney when he came on as a sub. He had 25 hit outs in a quarter and a bit. Cox will 100% have the first centre bounce and does well when he isn't tired.

I love all these stats. It's just like racing form. It means very little on the day because there are so many factors that dictate how things go. Attitude, fitness, nerves, ground, conditions, which is why the favourites don't win every time. Collingwood were the best "team" all year! That meant, forget the stats, they get the job done regardless of others form and stats going in. Had Collingwood kicked straight it would have been well and truly done and dusted a long way from home. Their poor kicking kept Brisbane in it and made it a close finish. Let's see all the legends tip against them falling down the ladder in 2024. So many are looking to chip them despite their dominance. Go Pies!
Interesting thought you mention Coleman not being able to back it up ...... but he dosnt have to if Collingwood do decide to go at Coleman what do they then do with the other 2 aggressive ball use out of half back in McKenna and Willmont. Like Brisbanes forward line you often here them say it was there turn, why couldn't it be said about that half backline.

Neale is a gun but shouldn't be anywhere near voss, black, akker. There's a difference between handballing like he does and being an elite field kick like the other 3.
Yeah it's a fair point. Those 3 were unbelievable. But Neale is the one creating the clearances with those quick, clean handballs in heavy traffic. Someone has to be on the inside getting it started. Lynch is as qualified as anyone to give an opinion as well.
@lozpower1790 he is. But black was often winning clearence and also sikly foot skills. Voss also won plenty of 50/50 hard balls and clearences. Neale is a solid kick....but to elite of the elite you need to elite with foot skills as well. Akers foot skills were ridiculous. Left or right.

It’s his turnover and being beaten 1 on 1 that kills us, I understand the dropping. Lipinski has had some shockers but right now he is probably our best tackler. He had 7 at half time last week. But it’s a tough decision.

As a pies supporter I feel Brisbane are a better scoring team with good continuity. They key to the pies winning is transition pace and kicking low to the forwards at the 35-50m range & then converting. Any deeper in the forward line and we lack height.

Agreed, Neale was robbed last year, I suspect some politics in there. Chris Grant was also robbed, twice cleared by umpires then somehow ended up with a 1 week suspension despite no reports in 8 years of AFL, back in the days certain other players were getting suspended sentences and fines after they'd previously been suspended in other incidents.
@@scottfree993 Barry hall was allowed to serve his suspension after a grand final. Essendon were alerted that they were about to be raided by the afl so they got caught shredding all their documents. This is the culture of the AFL it has not changed one bit.

I refuse to watch Daniel Hoyne because he always underrates Collingwood, and relies purely on stats and numbers, even though the majority of footy models tip Collingwood to win the Grand Final.
He ignores all the human elements of footy such as having top-2 sealed for much longer, and having a harder fixture this season, and bringing out the best in the opposition more often than Brisbane due to being hunted for being on top of the ladder all season.
The fact is Collingwood's top-4 highest rated players are better than Brisbane's top-4 highest rated players, and Brisbane's bottom-4 lowest rated players are worse than Collingwood's bottom-4 lowest players. And the Magpies have more Grand Final experience, and more familiarity wirh the venue.
