They maybe disliked because they think this is too fast and doesnt make you learn anything
yes it does, if you have the basics of light sourcing and composition down, you can use the subtle tricks they use in this video to draw a crushed can, if you dont know atleast the key elements and basics of drawing, you probably shoulndt be attempting this degree of realism in the first place

I studied this image for my art project at school, but instead of with all those tools I had colouring pencils and had to draw it massive. Still pretty happy with how it turned out, even though it is worse than this and took me wwaaaaaaayyyyy longer. Love your incredible realism, I really hope I can be as good as you some day.

Excellent drawing. Marcello is great. I think this is the only drawing of his that I can it is a drawing, because of how the bottom came out on this one. The top is so perfect that it is impossible to tell from a real picture taken.
I drew this image and to be honest, you can't make it look any more real because of how uneven it is.

Ah, now I see how to do that.
For those of you who didn't get this how to lesson:
1. do a sketch of a crushed coke can with pencil
2. give it some watercolor as a basic color
3. download SoLH (Speed of Light Hand) and msP (magically switching Pens) add-ons for your hands and install them
4. go over your picture and add color, lights, shadows, reflections, texture etc.
5. use an airbrush for the cast shadow
6. finishing touch
7. sign your picture
Anyone who didn't get it just by watching should just stop drawing altogether, since it was so basic :D

Of course this was just a joke, anyone who would think otherwise should sit down, drink a yummy tea and relax. I do draw myself and am lightyears behind this guy. The point is that even though it may take him some time, it still looks rather easy for him, while the rest of us struggle with stickfigures (yes, this isn't meant seriously either. it's an exaggeration to stress the point).
It's meant to be funny, not offensive and people should stop being overly sensitive about every little thing they hear/read. Relax. If you take life too seriously, it will be gone and you'll have nothing memorable to look back on.
I am shocked by how quickly you can complete these drawings. Six hours for something that detailed is very impressive, if you ask me.

Whatever! there are people who think that art is something that only the subject matter experts can understand. I see paintings and drawings that sometimes seem to me more easy to do, something that I could do the same if I took paper and pencil for this purpose. It's like punk rock: one guitar, two hours of training, and three chords. I only hear noise and letters containing opinions that are pure teenage rebellion.
This guy can do something I could not do, except perhaps with thousands of hours of training (maybe more hours than I have left to live).
I and all my friends liked and were impressed and probably would buy it to put on the wall of the house. The mere sight of this framework is sufficient to convey an optimistic message about the human capacity to master accurately arm muscles and hands. It's great to know that there are people so obviously talented. This leaves me in mind a certain pride of belonging to the human species.
I would not want to be unfair to the non-figurative art. Perhaps there is some value in it, but I'm just a chemist. I use my time to study issues related to my profession. I do not want and do not have time to study art in order to understand and enjoy the art made of stain and smears. To me it seems simple child's drawing.

My dad was in the Air Force. The gray walls were open to artists to liven up the rooms. A pilot's son was an artist and wanted a place to practice so he was given a conference room for a week. When he was done, The plane in the distant background looked like it was coming straight at you in the room. It distracted some initially with fun. Another looked like a photo of a pilot in his cockpit completely mission focused. We could not believe it was not a photo. We're talking talent with the right tools in the hands of a gifted artist in the late 1970s.

Perfect, but it seems that you crushed coke can while it was closed, since there isn't hole on top of can :)
There is a small tear right of the top of the can, all his drawings come from a physical object not a mental visualization so he probably steeped on a full coke xD
