    I received a negative feedback from a buyer in Australia who stated the items were chipped and for the very high shipping he was angry that I did not offer returns. I apologized and asked what I could do to fix this? That was it. He never responded. My point is that my response was polite and offered to make it 'good'. Anyone looking at my feedback will see the negative and my polite offer to fix the issue. Sure that took me a few minutes, but other buyers will see I care about my sales. I also sold a doll for $200 or so and was messaged by the buyer that the porcelain head had shattered in shipping. I again asked what I could do to remedy this. She asked for $5.00 refund since the clothes were the important part. Phew!! Love your show. Very informative.

      This is why I do international shipping with Ebay only. I ship to Ebay they charge buyer and ship to Country.
      Sold a melamine disney kids plate for $15 ebay charged $100 to buyer in Ireland. If Ebay breaks it I don't have to worry after I send to Ebay.

      International returns are covered by ebay? So I would allow it. Don't they ship the item back to ebay and they figure it out and you don't have to refund anything for their new rule?

    I hit a thriftstore as they put out a rack loaded with Harley Davison shirts from the 90s. I paid $1.99 each. I comped each one and decided they were worth $20 each in clearly used condition. I made a huge lot since I do not choose to list clothes as a rule. I cut the comps in half and priced the lot accordingly. A dealer bought the lot within minutes. Win win for us both. No regrets leaving a few hundred dollars on the table. I made a few hundred in a few minutes and was spared the time to process the shirts individually.

      Yeah, I picked up several Harley Davidson long sleeve shirts and sweatshirts from a church sale. I sold them all individually some sold right away some sold in a month or two and I had one long tail one that had an outline of the old Harley Davidson building in Kansas City, which they’re no longer at.

    Selling records is like selling coins, stamps, sports cards. comic books, etc, you need to be very particular about your description, know what you have, and grade it very accurately if you want the super high prices some of these items deserve. I always always grade my records with very strict standards to make sure my buyers are happy. I've been collecting records for years so I have a pretty good idea how to grade them. It's not easy to figure out for a newbie.

    I don't prepack items but I do use a yard stick in at least 1 photo for each item and keep my scale near my photo booth so I can weigh the item and take a pic of the weight...the weight is always my last pic for an item. I know approx. what my boxes weigh so it's fairly easy to figure out what size box I'll need and how much the item will weigh when packed. That way if someone buys more than one item I don't have to unpack a pre-packed item and can ship things together. I'm very rarely off by more than a couple of ounces on the weight for an item 😉

    • @ChrisHagemanPhotography

    Do you use a Scan Sheet for the Post Office? My post office wants a scan sheet if I bring more than 5 packages at one time. From what I understand this is a difficult thing to get from eBay unless you use the bulk ship option. The dude w the Q about negative feedback...if you pause on his question... he made so many mistakes. Hey guy, if you're out there..
    1. If they don't like the item, they can do a return. Then they can't leave NF. Did you send the wrong item? If you did, return. If not, scam
    2. Never EVER refund unless the item is returned to you
    3. Get your business policies in place for the above 2 concerns so that you're protected
    Good luck

    • @ericschill842
      @ericschill842 Před měsícem +4

      I disagree on #2. If the buyer has a legitimate problem and the item price is low enough, it’s more of a hassle to return than to just refund the buyer.
      If they are a scammer then I hope they enjoy the $10 item.

    • @LannieLord
      @LannieLord Před 7 dny

      @@ericschill842 I will disagree, ALSO to #2) IF the item is a piece of junk that I got at a yard sale for $1 / $2 / $3. I have no issue giving a refund and telling them to keep OR toss the item (IF it under $25.00) . There is a good chance that it's something I do not want back and don't wanna PAY for a RETURN label! A guy bought a grandfather clock part from me and said "It did not fit" . I paid about $2.00 for it and it took a YEAR to sell - only got $24.00 plus shipping.....I refunded his money and I told him to "toss it". BUT he did mail it back a month later with postage paid out of his own pocket- so , some people will do that.

    Hello! Question, when a buyer opens a dispute like item not received but tracking shows it delivered and eBay steps in at the end of the resolution period and sides in your favor and closing the dispute, does this have any negative effects on your account? I have heard that when eBay has to step in for the resolution it can/does, but I'd assume that is only when it is in a negative way(having to side with the buyer).

    Good warning on vinyl LPs. I do sell vinyl LPs, but it is a lot of work. First, they need to be pristine. Next I play test EVERY album I sell. You never know if there is a defect you can't see but you can hear. Third, I clean them all. Last, shipping takes a LP box. Fourth, a lot of albums were re-released or sold by record clubs. Those are versions people do not want. They want the early ones. The record club albums tend to be not as well made. Kind of like Book Club books. In the end most albums don't bring enough to be worth it. But I have sold some in the $75 price range. On not having anything to list, congratulations! Many of us have an ample supply, in the form of the dreaded death pile. I could stop buying completely and I still have enough to list for a month or more.

    My general rule for books/mags/comics is I look for "runs". Like if it's a run of #1 to #10 or #15 to #40 or something like that, as long as it's an uninterrupted run, I list it as a lot. On the flip side if it's a complete jumble with no consecutive numbers, I'll also list as a lot. If it's a broken set of consecutive numbers, I'll split them into their own "mini" lots. I don't typical list individual titles unless it's of particular value. Even then, if I have a run of books and ONE of them is valuable, I don't usually pick it out. I keep it in the run.

I have always had 100% on time shipping and 100% feedback from buyers. I checked the shipped items in question and 4 of the 5 were shipped on time using eBay labels. The 5th item could not be accessed online so I will have to check receipts. All received positive feedback from the buyer. Is there anyway to get eBay to remove this inaccurate information? How did they come up with it? How on earth can I get in touch with them? Have been enjoying using Flipwise. Frees up a lot of time for me having it.

    Do I have to use the shipping service that is selected by the buyer or as the seller am I entitled to use the most economical (equivalent) shipping service? For instance if the buyer selected USPS Ground Advantage but UPS Ground is cheaper or vice versa, is it fine for me to choose the cheaper option?
    Based on one of your recent videos, I set up business policies for shipping and have been limiting shipping on larger item to the lower 48 states and have been stating UPS Ground in the listing assuming it may be cheaper for larger items, but when I go to ship the item out this is not always the case and USPS Ground Advantage is the cheaper option so I end up opting for that service instead. This is off the subject but I sold an old camera that I KNOW I listed at 39.95, but someone just bought it for $10.00....I don't remember lowering the price (from 39.95 t0 $10.00). Is there any way I can find the history of that price change, or is Flipwise the only way ? Most informative Ebay CZcamsr on Ebay! Thanks.

      You can see previous versions of listings towards bottom on desktop version (its very small print but there)

      not sure if you can see this history in eBay directly, but we show price changes in Flipwise!

      @@justinresells I did find "all revisions" before the item specifics section on desktop and my item had no revisions. So do I call ebay or tell the buyer I never accepted $10.00.

    Hey Justin, I’ve been selling on eBay since September of 2023 and I lost my account in January and just recently got it back. Long story short I can no longer promote my listings and I do not know why or how I can Help it. Thanks

    Negative feedback may not hurt you, but being a 18 year ebay seller,I can tell you if you cancel a couple orders,ebay will shut you down so fast you want know what hit you, despite having 100% positive feedback!

      Very true! eBay hates when sellers cancel.

    Or maybe what that tells you is that your theory that you sell about the same number you list is incorrect.

    Please explain to me how in the world you're shipping a Disney descendants doll for $3.12??????? I'm a professional seller on eBay doing way more business than you ($25,000.00 a month) and there is absolutely no way that I could ship ANYTHING that cheap. Not from any shipping provider with tracking. You're a super small seller compared to me, so please explain how you're getting better shipment rates than I am. I'm super curious.

      that was combined shipping for two items in the same order, so shipping was $6.24 split across two items. thanks for watching!

      That makes a little more sense. To the best of my knowledge it is impossible to ship anything of any size with TRACKING as cheaply as you stated. If there is, then I would love to know about it. I'm Top Rated and as I stated do on average $25,000 a month. So my shipping charges are ridiculous.
