To me this came across as a mixture of the Sonic 06 E3 trailer and Infinite being Mephiles junior by shooting a hand laser behind Sonic's back.

So clearly you can see how much work has been done on the video! All the verified movements, as the Sonic lands or bounces, the reflection in the eyes, especially when he got up, it's just WOW!

I notice a lot of animation reuse, which kind of takes me out of the experience, personally, especially with the strange mixing and matching (such as at 0:34 or 0:54). Elsewhere, use of reference (or maybe premade animations built for human rigs?) stands out quite a bit at 0:50. I really do think some more custom animation would be beneficial.
Regardless, I think this is pretty awesome and I can't wait to see more. Especially of note is the pose and movement for Super Sonic. It exudes a great sense of poise with a fantastic and striking pose that carries and ambient hover while holding those little jitters that imply that he's almost too powerful for himself.
All animation was done by me manually, of course using references where it was needed, as all animators do, in general. I did run and walk cycles, used them a few times, I don't have many of them, but in general it was enough to create variety in the types of running. Some of the stitching shots are really bad, but I didn't have much time to finish the job. Thanks for the constructive criticism, but don't criticize unless it's asked for.
