- My brother picked this fab little car up a few months ago and it needed some work on it which he has done. It’s tyres were perished etc he has put four brand new tyres on. It starts first time and runs like a dream. What a bargain car especially for a first timer classic car owner like me who wants to start going to car shows 😊 test drive welcome just must prove you are insured to drive it email me on matilda12@ live.co.uk if interested.

It´s always so nice to see young people interested in continuing the hobby :3
😊
Agreed. My very first car, was a mustard-yellow Austin 1300. I still - even today - have 1100/1300's in my car collection. Four of them. One is a GT. :p
Best enthusiastic young saleslady i have ever seen 😁
😂 Thanks 😊
Good job Kiddo!
I spent most of my 6th form years helping a mate to soup up one of these. It ended up with a gas flowed 1300 Cooper S engine in it, twin choke Webber carbs and uprated suspension etc. Went like stink and is probably the main reason I messed up my A levels!!
😂😂😂
My grandparents had one very similar, brings back memories of day trips! Thankyou for sharing!
Thanks for commenting 😊
One day you are singing and dancing, then overnight you become a car salesperson. Is there no end to your talents?
😂😂 never really thought of it as that when I did it, it was just a CZcams vid to me 😂
Wow! Brilliant video, Matilda! I like your dress and your white shoes! 😊🥰🙏👍
@@makochan2011 Thanks 😊
Good to see young people enjoying the simple old cars brings back a lot of memories when I was your age I was serving my time doing body work on such cars seems a long time ago
Billy has done a fantastic job on the car Matilda and you showed it off marvellously for him. What a talented family you all are.
Thank you ❤
Well done you, you have met the legendary Mr Mathewson, this is what we need, younger people to keep it all going it all going when us older folk are, sadly, past it.

Oh, come on, Matilda, It comes with new brake pad things. New door angles and a big test drive right to the end of the drive. As I always reminded my daughter, I'm only taking the mick out of you because I like you.! 😂🤣😂😂👍 🏴.
I know 😂😂😂😂
I once owned a Austin 1100, I bought it new ( C reg ) in 1965 ( £645 ) from Lookers, Deansgate, manchester.
The colour was same your Car ( Alaskan Blue )
Sorry for being boringly nostalgic.
Peace to all.
I don’t think it’s boring thanks for the story 😊
Not boring. Some memories are for sharing.
@@pooroldfred 😊
What a beautiful little gem of a car Matilda. I would be quite sad to see her move on to pastures new but time moves on and so do we. When I was growing up these cars were literally everywhere but now days they are very rare. If I had the space I'd consider a bid but unfortunately I don't. One chapter closes on the wonderful 1100 and another opens when she's adopted by a new family. Many thanks for sharing.
I know I can’t keep them all I have to learn to move things on 😊😀😊
Fantastic !! This is the earliest car that I can remember my parents having.
Theirs was a 1969 G plate 1100 in a very dark green.
I can _just_ remember getting in and travelling in it; I was so young/small that I wasn't strong enough to push the door handle button in to open the door, so I would have to wait for my dad to open it for me.
Thanks for sharing your story 😍 and commenting 😊

Thanks for your comment.
That's obviously a big appeal of classic cars; the memories that you have with them and of them, even if you never had one you may have seen one on your street or on a TV programme from years ago.
I'd love a MkII Jag in dark red. I'd drive it round Oxford* pretending to be Inspector Morse, getting out of it and stating in a deep voice "There's been a murder Lewis"
*I'm not sure you can drive round Oxford now !
@@lewis72 probably not Khans spoilt that 😡 when mine next breaks down I’m going to beat it with a twig like Basil Fawlty I don’t care what anyone says 😂😂😂
And the bonus of buying this age of car is. No road tax no mot easy to maintain and you can still get most of the bits. Someone is going to have a lot of good times with her. Nice car Matilda
It appears very tidy original so quite a few marks but still very nice example 😊
@@matildariverwaldennews That's just patina and it adds to the charm. 👍

Really straight little car, thanks for showcase. I'm downsizing myself so good luck with sale. Looking forward to your engine rebuilds on Nissan GTRs. Hoping I'll still be alive to watch.
Should be a breeze 😂
Love matilda.keep up the good work.😊
Thank you! Will do!😊
my God i love your enthusiasm lol its a super neat car me mum had a cream one always recall the muffler falling off.
Thanks 😊
Nice car-love that progressive speedometer indicator!
Me too! 😊
She is wonderful, as is the car. Many thanks.
Thanks 😊
Great little car Matilda. I owned 2 Austin 1100,s but don't remember them being as nice as yours 😊
Thank You it does seem very clean especially for the age 😊
Needs the suspension blowing up on the drivers side
It’s parked on a dip 😂
Please don't blow this car up!
Nice Car Matilda Enjoyed The Video Nice Drive Of The English Countryside 😊
Thank you! 😃
Looks like a lovely wee car to me
The best-selling car in Britain, in the 1960s.
Yep 😊👍😊
3.44, sounded like a double declutch down change, priceless, excellent video. The front wings should be good as no one has ever drilled them and fitted wing mirrors. Anyone buying this motor should not touch them, but could fit clip on door mirrors instead, (Raydyot mirrors rings a bell from the past).
Thanks for commenting 😊👍😊
Beautiful car! 😍😍
Thanks 😊
Great car Matilda, should sell quickly. I thought I saw a Tom and Jerry t shirt but I could have been mistaken.
Yeah Tom and Jerry 😂
Oh I wish I could. Beautifull car.
It’s not immaculate but it’s certainly a gem and a great runner ❤
Hi Matilda, that’s a little gem!
She should sell very quickly
I think so too!😊
New carpets and mats too!
Yes professionally fitted 😂😂😂
That car looks in great nick for a J reg and certainly suits the mileage
Yes I’m sure it’s genuine just can’t prove it, sure their are loads that can’t at that age I suppose 🤔
Lovely little time capsule 😊
Thanks 😊
Such original condition. This should go quickly.
Hope so may be a bit late in the year 🤔
To the scrap yard

Austin car is looking well matilda like what you did to the carpets hope you all have a great week ❤️👌👍😊
Thank you! You too!
Love the accent, WON, TEW, THREE.
A bit like watching Happy Valley.
But in Australia we don't all talk like Pauline Hanson.
But too some, we must sound a bit like a saw cutting wood. " how ya goin?"
& there were once plenty of these cars in Australia. (kinda south of London hay?)
Thanks glad you enjoyed it 😊
Why is everyone selling things that I’d love at a time when I’m saving 😡😂 lovely car and your sales pitch will certainly help it sell!
Thank You 😊
Brilliant 🤩 video !
Thanks 😊
nice little motor. top sales pitch there mate you should work in a car dealership.😁

Beautiful car 🥇🥇🥇
It sure is!😊
Love that little Astin do you ship world wide ? Sorry sweetie I'm on the wrong side of the pond. Love you n your mum. ❤️😎👍👍👍
I can get a price! 😂
My dad had a 1965 the same colour I was lining to drive in it but it was involved in a crash on the junction of the M6 & M5 it was repaired but my dad decided to trade in for a 1970 1300 which I passed my driving test in first time after getting sum lessons from a friend of mums who was a instructor up to then my dad was teaching me he showed me how to control the car and how to get out of skids that is one of the reasons why driving in all whether conditions dose not now both me sadly the 1300 started to rust away so he tried it for a brand new 1975 wartburg I wish I still had both cars now
Thanks for sharing and commenting ❤
I've only watched a couple of your vids but what a pleasure it is to see a young (Northern?) gal, with such obvious passion for classic cars. Your test drive looked so much like the Yorkshire Moors that i felt a tad homesick!
I'm a Yorkshireman born and bred, but living in North Wales!
Good luck in all future endeavours and i'll be checking out all your other uploads soon. Thank you for a quality upload Xo
Thanks for watching and commenting I went to Newquay a few weeks ago to watch the dolphins 😊
@matildariverwalden3757 no worries! We have Porpoises and Dolphins off the coast near Abersoch. Also Seals on many parts of the Llyn Peninsula. Definitely worth a visit - if you can afford the insane tourist prices charged of late. Great place to live though. Much luck xo
@@craigharker8127 Thanks I’ll have a look at that, do the dolphins come near enough to see from the shore?
@matildariverwalden3757 They are not usually seen from the main beach - it's more from the Bwlchtocyn Headland that they are seen from land (Far right of the main beach on the map)
My Nephew was out on a paddleboard a few years ago, with a go-pro camera on his chest, and he got a short video of 2 parents and a baby surfacing less than 20ft away!
Boat sightings are quite regular but early in the tourist season is best as our Bay is shallow and I think all the noise from the boats and jet-ski's scares them away!
But, if no Dolphins - you could always go visit Bear Grylls as he lives on one of the two islands just off shore (joking - he doesn't allow visitors, lol!).
But if you like Seals, the half-tide rocks off St Tudwalls East are a great place to visit and boat trips are available locally every day. Well worth a look and you can see them at any time in the season 👍👍🙂🙂
@@craigharker8127 Thanks I’ll Google all that yes you get idiots at New Quay flying past them on jet skis 😡 I think I will cope not seeing Bear Grylls 😂😂😂
Fantastic videos. You're very talented. Well presented by a beautiful young lady.
Thank you! 😊
@@matildariverwaldennews my pleasure. Keep posting. Xx

😊
The body and interior look to be in good condition. I'd be worried about rust underneath. I like how everything under the bonnet is so easily accessible.
It seems fine but we can include M.O.T in price 😊
Thats really nice . Are you getting another one ! 😊
No 😊
If had MOT’s the mileage would be on there ?
Nice car
Thanks 😊

How much is it?

You should have no problem moving him on, in the short time you had him did you name him, only, I know females love naming cars 😜♥️
Very boring and unoriginal 🥲 I named him Austin! Billy has named all his vehicles 🚗 😊
That is a very nice example Matilda.
Does it come fitted with satnav, air conditioning and cruise control? 🤭🤭🤭🤭
No but for extra cash I’ll have a damn good go at fitting them 😂😂😂

I think you will struggle selling that with the hydrolastic down on the drivers side. It may just tired and need pumping up. But the pipes can corrode and start to emit even just a mist at first.
You'll come out one morning and the sill will be 2 inches off the ground in a luminous green puddle ! 🙉
