I just saw this fantastic band in Michigan at the Highland games;They ROCKED the house. Thank you ALBANNACH I'm not Scottish, but love this Celtic rock.
A bunch of drums and a lone piper. This reaches into my being, lifts my soul and leaks tears from my eyes...and I'm an Englishman!!
Check out the neck on the bagpiper, the way it inflates is insane. mad skill. And hope you can see them live sometime it is amazing

@@TheLittledikkins I've seen them in California many times. Try the Alameda County Fairgrounds for Labor Day Weekend. I haven't been in a couple years, but the band is really nice.
Recovering Soul I saw them there just today, and yesterday too, for the Scottish Games at the Alameda County Fair. So cool! They were absolutely amazing

I've seen Albannach live three times at Ohio Ren fest in dayton, ohio. And they don't compare. When they play live, it's a wave of energy blasting and coursing through your veins. My family is genetically scottish, and every time I see them live, I just go nuts!!

For me, it's about honoring my ancestors. But I have run into complications; I am a man of deeply mixed blood. So in trying to follow the ways of my ancestors, I am left asking, "Which way?"
+Raven's Sacred Voice Instead of "which way?", i would rather ask "what for?". We are all humans, factually all related one to another, hence there is no reason to glorify one nation, race or culture over another. We should cherish all heritage left by previous generations and just be happy for what we are, which is being alive.
