Im planning on getting markers for christmas and i really wanna work on using colours in my drawings and being able to know where to put shadows because i never really know where to put them
markers are a great gift ☺️ I hear you, shadows can be tough to place- I always try to look at the shadows as shapes and this helps me with breaking them down

do you have any tutorials on how to make the markers not so streaky when you overlay the color
hmm I don't think I talk about this specifically in my tutorials, but I have noticed that if you get streakiness (especially with certain colors) adding another layer of the same color often helps. I guess it depends on a variety of things- I'll talk about it more in my next tutorial!
