the thing about social media is that most of the time the algorithms make no sense! You could make the most amazing piece of art, but if it isn't being shown to enough people, then it can't be used to judge whether or not people like it ❤

You touch on a topic that I am always talking at my husband about. 😂 one of the biggest things that helps me is that “I’m right on time”. Which is I am exactly where I need to be right now. Keep sharing , I love it!
WAIT A DANG MINUTE- I have this exact sketchbook and I never thought of using anything other than pencil. This just gave me so much inspiration. I’ve been neglecting that sketchbook since I felt like I could only use pencil but ummm this made me so happy

I actually just found your channel because you had a video on alcohol markers which I want to learn more about. I also paint with gouache so for me the mix is great. Don't give up doing the art you want to do, the right audience will find you in the end.

Stunning! I would get overwhelmed trying to paint or draw this because of all of the leaves….I think I’m undiagnosed ADD so maybe that’s part of my issue but this first piece you did is so beautiful… I wish I could accomplish that task. You make incredible art, you’re really talented, I saw your portraits- incredible!

You’ve really influenced my return to gouache. I’m learning everything from oils to acrylics to markers to watercolors 🤪 but gouache has pulled me in. Wow!!! JUst love the colours Sofia!! I think I'm a vibrant colour lover as well....As I was watching your video , I took out my guache paints as well and started to paint. I'm still in the beginning stages of my art ( I just started drawing this past Januaruy) so everything is still very new to me and I'm just loving it. Art is bigger than social media. Well said. I struggle with this as well, as I’m sure lots of artists do. There are lots of pieces of art that I’m proud of that have barely gotten any likes…it can be discouraging when something you poured your heart into doesn’t get a good response on social media.

I’m the same. I fill my sketchbook with all different styles and I seem to jump around a lot. I hate it. Every time I get really good at one technique I lose interest and start something new and feel like a beginner all over again.

It is beautiful. I have one question: could you have done that using watercolor which is not very opaque and difficult to come back on top? Also for travelling, is it possible to carry the gouache in the small godet of watercolor? thank you
yes I suppose you could do it with watercolor from a tube to make it a bit more opaque but the effect may be overall different... but it's worth trying to explore ☺️ Yes you can travel with gouache, if you put it in a sealable pan it will dry out and then can be reactivated with water
