I play in a bar during some irish jig sessions and this is one of the most popular songs we play. I usually play it on the fiddle but I want to bust out my ocarina whenever I can
You probably play it in E minor or B minor on the fiddle since that’s more traditional, so just keep in mind that I’m teaching it in D minor in this video because it’s a little easier to play on ocarina 😉

im really excited to see that your adding more advanced songs on your tutorial videos I really want to get better but im self taught and still learning to read sheet music and still im a little too advanced for zeldas lullaby and even sarias song wasnt too hard. i really hope you start double ocarina tutorials aswell I just got one and I am so ready to learn and extend my range cuz its even harder to find DO stuff

Creo que tengo un talento natural para este instrumento, con ver (oír) la canción la aprendo y cuando veo tus tutoriales me doy cuenta que ya lo aprendí sin practicar
:/ un poco raro, porque crei que era un instrumento sin complejidad ni dificultad y pense que todos podiamos llegar y tocar tan fácil como me resulto a mi, y mi novia no pudo y se frustra al intentar tocar la ocarina
Segun algunas personas poseo un oído absoluto, pero no creo que sea eso 😅, lo dicen porque apenas escucho una canción la puedo replicar en teclado o la ocarina en unos minutos, ya que no tienen mayor complejidad para mi esos instrumentos, la guitarra intente tocar, pero me dolieron los dedos y no me suenan las cuerdas porque presionó mal las cuerdas 😅
No sé nada de música en si, solo copio lo que escucho, no sé leer música, ni siquiera se que nota estoy tocando, solo se que suena igual y ya 😅

An Alto C would be my recommendation. It’s affordable and not too high. The plastic one I use in this video is one of the best plastics you can buy (and you can get a discount with my code)!
