The tuber magnatum season is well underway. Yet this year across Europe these white truffles are terrible quality. In this video we dish the dirt on the fioroni and show you how to distinguish between these early stage truffles and their mature counterparts.

I have been so busy lately. I saw you posted earlier today but this is the first chance I had to watch. Great video, nice heads up on this truffle. So let's say this is what your finding. Not what you wanted but I'm guessing it still has some value, just not as much. Am I correct? So if it has some value at what kinda price should you sell it for. Or is it only good for pigs 😂. I won't be heading to the UK anytime soon. But good news, my surgeon thinks I'll be healed and wearing shoes by Thanksgiving ( end of November). So I'm looking forward to finally going for walks in the woods and building my leg muscles back. I did miss this entire salmon season but I'm getting ready for next year. I'll start in February. And once I do finally do that I'll get my dog and start training him. I will be attending the Oregon Truffle Festival and I have a good friend who is going to attend with me. Glad that you will soon be back in your shoes, you will have missed those guys! These truffles sell to dealers for a fraction of the price of the good ones. What happens next probably depends on how scrupulous the dealer is. Unfortunately I think a lot of people get duped with these excuses for truffles. Sorry you missed the salmon but the main thing is to get yourself back fighting fit to go a few rounds with them next season!
