For me one of the best teachers in CZcams. Very clear and simply to explain a hard information
"Hope that is helpful"......Mark, your videos are like pearls of wisdom casually given to us amateurs to help us enjoy the fruits of our hobby even more! Thank you!
As usual, short, easy to understand and very informative- simply the best ! Merci 💕
It would be wonderful to see another still life demo
Yeaaaaah u are the best, i m from Brazil and u até the only one who make me understand color theory
Excellent tutorial as always 🙏
Thank you so much. I've been missing these helpful videos.
Great tip! Nice and short.
Awesome tutorial very helpful. Thanks to you sir!
Great video as always
I seldom use white nowadays. I usually reach for barium yellow, unbleached titanium, a lead-tin yellow or an ochre. When I do go for white, I prefer a zinc-titanium mix. I get the ropey/stringy handling qualities of titanium with the gentle tinting power of zinc. Perfect.
Very useful tutorial. Thanks for sharing your excellent knowledge. Regards JB
WOW GRACIAS POR SU MASTER CLASE !!!
Excellent! Thank you.
really really helpful - thank u
very helpful 👌 thank you
Thanks for the tip!
fabulous tip
Very nice!
thanks
wow! so helpful
I think you just needed to emphasize the diffuse better. The burnt umber only works because the table is brown. You can achieve the same effect by making the table greyer
Great vídeo. Congtatulations
wonderful sharing
Thats why I like to use lead white instead of titanium in most cases. I just save titanium W for those super highlights that need a super punch
Agreed. I also try to never use white at all to lighten colors. there's usually a lighter color that will do the job better.
that pigment is actually a poison
@@liv0003 if you eat it, yes, like cadmiums too, but I use it to paint, like it has been used for a millenia, I rather eat a steak.
@@comunidadbitcoin2050 not only if you eat it, it can be toxic even simply by coming into contact with the skin, use gloves when using certain pigments,it's safer. Cadmium and Cobalt can be toxic too
@@liv0003 I do use gloves but thats not true, it does not absorbs thru the skin.
Thanks
Does your Titanium white yellow with time or remain a pure white ? someone described this as voodoo darkening
What type of yellow would you recommend ?
Burnt Umber is a fugitive pigment and milky in terms of color is white like milk.
Light ray and reflection of light. Two different lights.
How to make a white really shine? Stuck on a sunlight through a hole in a cave that is bright white/yellow like a sunset...i cant get it to glow. Suggestions?
Touch of yellow to warm it. Remember, most light we see isn't pure white. It'll be a yellow-white at the source point, then the ray will fade into the background as it disperses. A yellow-ish patch on the ground where the main beam strikes it would also help with your illumination effects.
The best way to make something in a painting seem to glow is to make it as bright as possible and then make everything else in the painting dark and low key. The other thing that can be done is to make the bright light have a very soft and blurry halo around it as it gradually blends into the darkness around it instead of sharp edges of light against dark. These two things create a strong glowing effect.
I don't see that the second ball is less milky than the first.
They look the same to me and I like their look!
17th!!!!
You're very helpful, love your hair style today:) just messing with ya.
When I look at still life paintings by Giorgio Morandi, such as bowls, flowers, and vases, my perception is that all of the colors have been muted with white. czcams.com/video/aUkktG0wzs4/video.html
quod licet Iovi non licet bovi
Bros got the hairstyle only he could pull off.
I suppose this video is very interesting, but unfortunatly google traslation is very inaccurate. Comunque thankyou
I havent watched the vid. Ive painted for 60 years. Just get rid of titanium white.
So now we're regurgitating old videos
Don't be ungrateful.
@@deaconseptember2002 its not like hes doing it for free of for charity
it is still helpful - for newcomers like me
I hadn't seen it.
@@floopydoopy3489 So did you have to pay for this video then ? if you did you are the only one. As well as being an artist he has a business and sells stuff, he also shows you how you can makes stuff, like an easel or colour checker, if you cant buy it. He has a whole course for beginners thats free to use. I dont see any other artists around doing that to the extent he does. I guess there are always going to be negative people whinging about him though.
Thanks for the tip!
