In this video, I go over the entire Pirates rebuild that has brought them back to being a competitive team in Major League Baseball. sorare.pxf.io/rhyde
As a pirates fan thats been listening to the jokes and crap for a few years now about the pirates. It is so refreshing to see the wait for the rebuild come to fruition and videos like this start coming. Baseball is fun to watch again suffering through back to back 100 loss seasons makes you forget what good baseball looks like unless u pay attention to the other team dumping all over you lol🎉
Us Sox fans have definitely had it better, but we've had our downs as well. Even though they don't really compare to the Pirates, I can see how Pirates fans feel a bit. It's a good feeling to see success, especially after sticking through the tough years.
It went from “ the pirates suck” to “play a real team” pretty quick this year. Just hoping we don’t plateau or do a long losing streak this year. Let’s go bus
@@williamcavanaugh5460 well there will be a losing streak. Virtually every team has at least one every season. Don’t give up hope when it happens. It’s all about how they bounce back from it.
Although it’s been only a month, the ceiling of their season feels so reminiscent of the Orioles last year. A organization previously in total shambles from top to bottom, but multiple years of savvy trades and noticeable strides in player development have potentially turned a corner for better years ahead. I’m a Padres fan, but also a passive admirer of the Pirates for the emergence of former Padres prospects, Bednar and Suwinski.
Their latest GM is crushing it. He knows what it takes to win world series, when he was with Boston and he's doing similar moves that got boston multiple championships with the pirates now. This is why having a good GM can do wonders for a team regardless of that teams payroll. Pirates have the 3rd lowest payroll in MLB, but play like a team that are in the top 5 highest payroll teams right now.
As a Phillies fan, I watched from across the state as the Pirates suffered for all those years. I'm glad to see them back on top right now. Obviously I'm pulling for my Phils, but if we miss out, I know I'll be rooting for the Bucs. You've been waiting since 79 for another championship. You deserve a Series win!
U was absolutely right u know more baseball than this lunatic CZcamsr who just wanted to get some views anyone who knows baseball knows the first few months are meaningless
As a life long Pirate fan I'm very happy the way they have constructed this club. I been a fan since I was 7 and I'm going to be 70 this October. Let's Go BUCS !
Refreshing to see the Bucs winning again. We Are Family! Im from Pittsburgh and worked in a steel mill 30 years and grew up with all the legends. I was 6 months old when Maz blew up the town. I get discouraged and talk them down because of the owners cheapness at times but a fan till i die!!! Go Bucs🤺🤺🤺
I thought, after the offseason they had, they were going to be a fun team to watch. It’s a shame about Cruz but they haven’t missed a beat. I think they won’t play as phenomenal as they are right now but I do expect them to grab a playoff spot . I totally think they’re capable and if they gèt hot by playoff time, it will be very interesting… I am a little biased. Although I’m a Braves fan, the Pirates have a special place in my heart. They were my dad’s favorite team. I always want them to do well.

As a fan of the Pirates since the mid 1950s, I find their performance this year very heartening. I believe they will finish over .500 and, perhaps, make the playoffs. Anything beyond >.500 is icing on the cake
I've been a pirates fan since I could remember going to my first game as a kid, I'm almost 20 and ive supported my bucs through good and tough times, I just don't think it's the same with all these "fans" back in the seats, where were they the last 7 seasons, now all the sudden youre a "day one" fan
As a life long Pirates fan, I'll go out on a limb and say the Pirates may get, at worst, a Wild-Card playoff spot. I'm being objective here. They DO have the pieces to make a solid run at the playoffs in perhaps 1 more season after this one and be contenders for Division Champs. Time will tell, but yes it is nice to see them doing this good so far. Hopefully when they get Cruz back from injury they can keep it up
A major part of the Pirates renaissance is the many trades they made for prospects, even though people always whine about the Pirates trading away players.
Baseball is better when these small-market teams are relevant. Pittsburg, KC, oakland, etc... Sadly only Pitt is holding up their end currently, but that's still a positive. Best part is that guys like Endy, Henry Davis, Nick G, Johnson, etc... aren't up yet. The best days are still ahead.
Dylan Crews, future Pittsburgh Pirate number one overall pick in this year's draft. A Reynolds and Crews outfield combo, would be pretty damn good for The Pirates.
@Robbie Hyde actually no.. I truly feel that was nothing like any of his other signings an he was forced to quote make a splash in a market that wasn't made for it. I may be wrong an I understand he was definitely part of it I just feel these moves had the stink of ol Henry all over them. A over reactionary move like always herny an warner have a track record of this an I know you know this.. Great work on bonds podcasts 👏 btw

I became a Pirates fan due to Cutch. I am from Indiana and watched him in AAA. I tried to watch when he was traded but I found myself watching less and less. This year, I made a point to watch again and I have not been disappointed.

Unfortunately, the Pirates are not back. Once they played some real competition, their true colors showed. May will be a tough month for them. The Pirates will be lucky if they win more than 76 games this season.
I sure hope Pittsburgh makes the playoffs Hell, I want them to win it all! I've been a Pirate fan since I was 9 in '69, and have been fortunate enough to see them win 2 championships in '71 and '79. That was purely awesome! But then they became known here in Western PA as a "professional farm club" for developing stars and superstars only to sell them off.
