Nice review! Like you, I've had both of these devices.... and, like you, I find myself preferring the Phone (2) for many of the same reasons. Things I miss from the P7P are the camera performance, and all the AI goodness that the Tensor chip brings. I much prefer the weight and feel, the UI, and the overall performance of the Phone (2). The battery and heat issues with the P7P were driving me nuts.
@@joepeglegmorgan3015 Yes, it got a little better. Unfortunately for me there are several apps that I can't run as "optimized", but I'm getting 6-7hrs on screen time.... Maybe more at times. I get through an entire day with ease and often a little more.
The Pixel 7 pro is on sale here so it is actually a lot cheaper than Nothing 2 at the moment. The only 2 things bothering me is how slow Pixel 7 Pro charges and the screen curves on the sides.
I truly enjoyed your review, I can definitely see this channel becoming a go to for many of us on CZcams. Love that there's research done effectively, and that there isnt any bgm 😅 which helps us focus on the content at hand. Komawa 🎉
No, the Nothing Phone 2 does not offer 1 year more Android update despite the fact that it was released almost 1 year after the Pixel 7 Pro, both were released with Android 13, and the latest Android version of both will be Android 16. And that, I think this is an aspect that 90% of youtubers do not take into account, many Android smartphones come out after July, promise 3-4 years of Android update, but it turns out that the 1st update occurs 1-2 months maximum after their releases, in the end and in reality, it is not 3-4 updates of Android versions but 2-3. 🙏🏽 Ps: I prefer a OnePlus 11 to both smartphones, or even an S22 Plus Snapdragon.
It may not affect your unit, but after using the AOD and looking at the display with a completely white video/image/UI, there were dark blotches all over the display. It's not visible in certain brightness levels but it was definitely noticeable. When I turned off AOD, it was gone within a couple of hours.
Lol the nothing phone is not ready to take on the Pixel 7 Pro, wildin. . Tbh its not fair for you to compare the nothing phone 2 to Pixels.prematurely. Their definitely not ready to showdown with the #3 phone in the game. This review is weird and misleading.
