Man back in the day, i literally had NO ONE to play this game with, hardly anyone I met even knew of its existence and it’s mostly because there weren’t many fighting game lovers I met and I mean people who actually saw the little things within the game. People who didn’t mind losing or winning because they came for GOOD fights.
I was in the same boat with you back then. I absolutely LOVED this game, but had to play it alone.
I played this game almost daily with my friends through out high school. We were all around the same level and would get draw games regularly. Great times
Yeah back in the day fighting games were very niche, and you had to live in a big city with a local arcade to find people to play with if you didn't have friends that played them already.

The sprite animations look so clean and fluid. This is why I like oldschool video games..
I wish they brought this back and updated all the cps2 sprites to look like the sprites that were new to this game. Those recycled sprites keep the presentation from looking perfect
As someone who used to play fighting games, but now just watches content, I can honestly say Smug is my favourite to watch.
I love Brian Fs style, but since I don't play a lot of the information isn't something I'll use.
Smug has great editing, but more than that he feels chilled and fun to watch. He's genuinely having a good time win or lose.
I've nothing against Justin, punk and the like. But smug is just easy to watch, which is great for someone like me who used to take fgc seriously and go to the odd tournaments, but now works too much and whose gaming now is single player only
Silentscope’s “Just Defense” game with the K-Groove is a nightmare to overcome! Also, I’m kinda biased, but I’d really enjoy seeing you learning A-Groove combos as Rugal.

@freddyvidzs No it isn't. It's because SNK was in charge of development of the game. Whereas Capcom did the same with the Capcom VS SNK games. So I can see how you thought that because I did the same back in the day.

You're getting good in that game brother. Good how you're learning new characters constantly. Learn Vice next. Also you could've used your reversals instead of taking all that block string. Pretty sure A and C groove have the attack reversal mechanic.
Yo Smug, gotta tell ya something, I like what your Kim is shaping up to be. I can't help but feel like if you squeeze that Custom A-combo, you'll be able to get more outta him.
Plus, parries! Yeah man you gotta do some parry to kick ass in this game. Sometimes you go all in, other times you stand back and parry, especially if your opponent has a full K-groove and coming in hot for you. I'd like to see you try A-Groove Sakura next and witness what you come up with. That oughta be cool (:

In case you didnt know , Chang and Choi are Kim's friends . That's why they have that intro .
More or less the case as of KOFXV. They used to be his unwilling students, former criminals undergoing rehab. Then they realized by the time XV rolled around they were fully reformed and didn't want to go back to a life of crime. That freak Xanadu weirded them out too much and basically scared them straight.

Didn't have any friends at school that knew of this games existence back in the day. But luckily... my older nephew did. He had it on PS2 and on weekends... I'd go and sleep over at my sister's place and play the game with him and his younger brothers. I always got washed but had fun nonetheless. If it wasn't for CvS2... I would've never known about SNK let alone KOF characters at all. Plus at the time, it gave me new stuff to draw/sketch. Great times. Great, great times. 👍🏼👍🏼💯

After 30 years of die hard fighting games I have noticed many titles go unnoticed and some of the best players you will find in either SNK games or SNK Crossover titles. These players are in a different class altogether especially the King of Fighters/ CVS 2 / and SVC Chaos players. Geese Players will put many on notice and even humble them.
I liked that a groove terry combo ryo has some nice ones with genka dance and his fireball cause it's actually good in this game and you can guard break if you thumbs doesn't get tired lol

Great video. As far as characters for A-groove, honestly, probably stick to the ones you're using now. If I can get my hands on this game I'd probably take kyo, Terry and Ken and maybe yun through all the grooves to see what I like. Keep it up though boss

Casual sets is the best sets.
