1949 Buick Roadmaster Sedan under the hood 1

A look under the hood and at the engine of my 1949 Buick Roadmaster. The straight eight engine and two speed Dyna Flow transmission have both been fully rebuilt with no expense spared

Love the color and the authenticity of the engine compartment. Surprised the engine was a babbitt pounder as by 1949 they had went mostly to insert bearings. May have been a leftover 1948 engine prior to assembly.

Please show a video of you opening the hood from both sides. That is a unique feature. Nice car!

Buick did not bring back the dual carb option after World War II. it was not an option in 1949. in 1942 it had been optional on the special and standard equipment on the super century and Roadmaster.
