I have an interpretation, the idea of "sharp" also connotates the idea of cutting something, and when you cut something you are precise with it. This ideology links to Inspector Goole as a character where he is precise, he knows what to say at given moments and appears as a trained inspector, in which Priestley uses the inspector as a mouthpiece to display how his message has been thought out for a given duration, he has had experience and perhaps uses this opportunity to spread his proto-socialistic ideas. Not sure if this is a reach but here's an interpretation I just thought of for after tomorrow if necessary.

Thank you so much, it really helped me to go back through this play slowly. This allowed me to apply my knowledge and remember new things. I would also recommend making notes as you watch and pause/rewind sections to help set it in your brain. You can also refer back to your notes. It's Amazing how much I always learn with all of your teachings tutorials and the amount of learning with strength turns my courage into me learning being more confident in so many different areas of learning , like , after each learnings and the great ways you explain gives me more and more ways to learn with the techniques you explain ... Not enough words to explain how much I learn to better with structuring my thoughts while reading books , and how I can better explain characters interaction with each other ; one of my most difficult but learning how to do better with each video and plus I read books to better structure how to do that too but again I learn so much more than what I say I am just so happy to learn in ways to strengthen my many of books I have to read as required books and I then implement as much structural writing in-between each task along with the literary and sentence structuring that is study days in itself because I try to focus soly with those studies because it's a lot of studying and the study method techniques given in other video that gave structuring to schedule learning too which I always have and just not as structured schedule but I always study no matter the situation or circumstances because there is so much to learn for me to get better at the grades and I learn a lot from you and it might not show because my thoughts are not as structured but I try everyday And just want to say there are not enough words to explain how you get me the better grades in so many different elements of learning for me get better grades As always all my always and forever love you for everything you do for teaching greatness and thank you Mr English Everything for all you do for me learning how to be greater with learning and especially me reading books 📚 and how to structure thoughts as I continue and always try with the greatest teachings , Thank you so very much with the greatest of appreciation ! From a fellow English teacher's perspective, AIC is one of the more nicer and easier texts to teach at KS4 level and it clicks with the students easily, as everything is so straight forward and for AO2 there isn't even really many language techniques so it's all zoom in, zoom in, zoom in. But it also lends itself to the students making their own inferences. It's the perfect balance of being accessible but giving students the freedom to read between the lines and write about the effect on the reader in great detail. Now Jekyll and Hyde on the other hand. The 2023-24 may EXAM was about = the question for the unseen poet was about love and relationship and power and conflict it was about my last duchess - power and for the inspector call it was about the old and young character -their different responses to the inspect and the other one was about the women in the generation - how they were treated.

Hello please someone help. I’m in year 8 i have a very important assessment coming up that determines me getting into set 1 English from set 2. We are reading a book called private peaceful and we have to explain “ how morpurgo creates a sense of tragedy in pages 14-18 of private peaceful at tommos fathers death. I have picked out 4 quotes but I’m stuck on how to explain them. hello, i have an interpretation of the text, an inspector calls. so you know when the inspector arrives and the stage directions say that the lighting has become 'brighter and harder' . its kind of like a biblical allusion as angel gabriel came to visit mary, the same way the inspector is coming to the birling's to deliver a message from priestley (the voice of god). when the inspector came to visit the birlings , the lighting has become brighter and harder- when something is extremely bright, it may be blinding, which may also foreshadow how the older generation are giving a blind eye to social responsibility- linking to their refusal resistance to change due to their archaic , traditional ways
it was about how priestley presents woman in the play and the other one was how priestlry presnts the old and new characters and all that it was calmmmmm

Ontop of all that you also need to know each poems purpose and be able to mention context cause it has AO3 in the markscheme for poems (not unseen) it's like each poem is it's own book and then you have to work out how to intertwine different quotes between different books with eachover

It's Amazing how much I always learn with all of your teachings tutorials and the amount of learning with strength turns my courage into me learning being more confident in so many different areas of learning , like , after each learnings and the great ways you explain gives me more and more ways to learn with the techniques you explain ... Not enough words to explain how much I learn to better with structuring my thoughts while reading books , and how I can better explain characters interaction with each other ; one of my most difficult but learning how to do better with each video and plus I read books to better structure how to do that too but again I learn so much more than what I say
I am just so happy to learn in ways to strengthen my many of books I have to read as required books and I then implement as much structural writing in-between each task along with the literary and sentence structuring that is study days in itself because I try to focus soly with those studies because it's a lot of studying and the study method techniques given in other video that gave structuring to schedule learning too which I always have and just not as structured schedule but I always study no matter the situation or circumstances because there is so much to learn for me to get better at the grades and I learn a lot from you and it might not show because my thoughts are not as structured but I try everyday
And just want to say there are not enough words to explain how you get me the better grades in so many different elements of learning for me get better grades

From a fellow English teacher's perspective, AIC is one of the more nicer and easier texts to teach at KS4 level and it clicks with the students easily, as everything is so straight forward and for AO2 there isn't even really many language techniques so it's all zoom in, zoom in, zoom in. But it also lends itself to the students making their own inferences. It's the perfect balance of being accessible but giving students the freedom to read between the lines and write about the effect on the reader in great detail.
Now Jekyll and Hyde on the other hand. Good lord, which bright spark decided to put that on the GCSE spec?

The 2023-24 may EXAM was about = the question for the unseen poet was about love and relationship and power and conflict it was about my last duchess - power and for the inspector call it was about the old and young character -their different responses to the inspect and the other one was about the women in the generation - how they were treated.

Hello please someone help. I’m in year 8 i have a very important assessment coming up that determines me getting into set 1 English from set 2. We are reading a book called private peaceful and we have to explain “ how morpurgo creates a sense of tragedy in pages 14-18 of private peaceful at tommos fathers death. I have picked out 4 quotes but I’m stuck on how to explain them. My quotes are “ i have killed my own father”, “the earth thuds and thumps down on the coffin behind us as we drift away leaving him” , “ if only I had tried to save myelf, if I had run he would not now be lying dead in his coffin” and (what I think is my best quote) “i want father to hear the birds for the last time before the earth closes in on top of him and he has nothing left but science” SOMEONE PLEASE GUIDE AND HELP ME. hello, i have an interpretation of the text, an inspector calls. so you know when the inspector arrives and the stage directions say that the lighting has become 'brighter and harder' . its kind of like a biblical allusion as angel gabriel came to visit mary, the same way the inspector is coming to the birling's to deliver a message from priestley (the voice of god). when the inspector came to visit the birlings , the lighting has become brighter and harder- when something is extremely bright, it may be blinding, which may also foreshadow how the older generation are giving a blind eye to social responsibility- linking to their refusal resistance to change due to their archaic , traditional ways

unsinkable absolutely unsinkable (ao2 repetition emphasising birlings views plus dramatic irony) ao3 ( 1945 viewers know the titanic has sunk so birlings yapping)
if men do not learn that lesson they shall be taught it in fire and blood and anguish (ao2 polysyndeton means repetition of conjugations such as 'and' so the consequences are emphasised also creates a semantic field of hell.) ao3 (link it to how the inspector is always 'cutting in" so he cooks capitalism)

@@mrgdsjs1084 same, it's like 3 quotes per poem which is 36 quotes and then ontop of that you need to know which poems to compare with which and more specifically which quotes from those 2 poems you chose compare best together . Ontop of all that you also need to know each poems purpose and be able to mention context cause it has AO3 in the markscheme for poems (not unseen)
it's like each poem is it's own book and then you have to work out how to intertwine different quotes between different books with eachover
its actually quite easy because a lot of them relate to each other in some way or another, you'll be fine!

Describe it as a financial hierarchy, mr B is at the top and the his workers (including Eva Smith) are at the bottom. You could link it to Eva being a victim of capitalism or Mr B’s greed if the question is about Greed or smth. Hope this helped 👍
