I remember being a kid, waiting for Saturday to come around to watch Motorweek on PBS and waiting monthly for my issue of Car and Driver. Now, as an adult, I wait for carwow videos to drop. But I never have to wait long (even though it feels like an eternity). And I'm never disappointed.

I had the previous Santa Fe for 6 years and it's true, It did not go wrong at all! Now got a WV T6 to make into a camper. Build quality is NOT a patch on the Hyundai.

Good review. I’ve had the previous model in premium se and very pleased with it. Main criticism is the accuracy of the computer assessed mpg. It’s miles out (pardon the pun) compared to fill at the pump calculation. Very good towcar

As a car reviewer Matt is great, to the point and includes plenty humour to make it enjoyable even if you dont like the car. Others make you fall asleep. I actually went to the main dealer to see the santa-fe and it was great in fact better than I imagined. I remember the Hyundais of old and they were an embarrasment, different story now.

I`ve had this car now for 3 months and I paused the review before I posted this review. Love this car so much very nice to drive and when you need speed the 200 bhp kicks in nice and goes like Apollo 11 leaving Earth orbit, I find sometimes there`s a 1000s lag on pulling off, ( Auto ) from junction if your trying to beat a Bus or other vehicle from a island but no major issues. Only other thing I don't like to safety stuff, like applying the car breaks unexpectedly when reversing from my drive and there`s a passing car on the other side of the road. ( but then a again it stopped me from hitting a post in Asda) All in all I very happy with this car.

Yeah my dad has the same car but it’s customized a little but the ventilation came from the company. It has some carbon fiber interior just a small amount
I too have got this car for about an year now , very practical and very fun to drive . Unlike the one shown in the review , mine has a 3.5 L V6 producing for around 300 hp and a sweet grunt ❤️ congratulations on yours though 👍🏻👍🏻

Its a shame you dont get the non-diesels in the UK. I just got a 2.4l petrol and its excellent. Very fuel efficient and quick enough for any scenario you’d encounter
Is it a better drive than the 2.2 turbo diesel
@@durandefreitas9309 I personally have not driven that diesel as it is not sold in the US. There are advantages and disadvantages to both petrol and diesel, if both are available in your country, test drive both to see what you like better
@@jakes5530 I actually drive the 2015 2.4L gasoline Santa Fe. Considering the 2019...but would like the 2.2 turbo diesel for more power and better consumption. Unfortunately test driving one is not an option for me.

Indian car market is a the worst, they think traction control, ABS and airbags are cutting edge safety features.
India needs to have its own non-profit crash test facility and organization funded by insurance companies like IIHS in the USA.

This has been covered on Car Wow and other review channels before. Basically the manufacturers only release top spec/fully optioned vehicles to the motoring press. I thought Matt did a good job of explaining, in this case, the three levels available.
